The colors this week for the color throw down were elegant eggplant, bordering blue, and rich razzleberry. I stamped rich razzleberry on the bordering blue card base and it looked brown. In fact my razzleberry doesn't seem to appear quite the way it is on any part of the card. I stamped the back ground with bella toile and the wreath is from Flourishes. Isn't it a gorgeous one, and lots of fun to color? I put Ranger's glossy accent on the ornaments for added shine!

FTTC#39 a day late!
Yesterday was really busy for me, so just got around to completing this challenge this afternoon. I loved this color combo that I came up with by looking at scraps left on my paper cutter table. This is my all time favorite ribbon that I've had stashed and is slowly being depleted. I hate that Stampin' Up takes away things I would still love to reorder. Oh, well, I guess it's their business loss, but boy, am I going to miss it when it's gone!!! I love Flourish stamps because they are so fun to color with my copics. Flowers are always something that bring joy to others, so I seem to stamp lots of them.

My 25th MMSC card
I think I have done every one of these Midnight Madness Challenges every Tuesday. It's one of the reasons I love Tuesdays. Some of my favorite challenges are on Tuesdays. I used the Basic Grey Eskimo Kiss paper on this card along with another design paper and some of the SU colors. The reindeer stamp is from Layers of Color. I used these holiday brads again on this card. I'm making a point of trying to use up some of my stash from the drawers. The best way to do alittle house cleaning is to use them up on a card.
Splitcoaststampers Color Challenge #242
I love this stamp from the Layers of Color Architectural Blocks set. I punched my kraft paper with the new Martha Stewart bed of flowers punch then added a strip of black behind it. I cut black squares in 3 by 3 inch squares and the kraft squares were 2 1/2 by 2 1/2 squares. I found two matching primas in my box so used them for the inside flower and stuck gemstones as the center. I added the melon organdy ribbon and made a quick and very attractive card for a quick one, I think!
What do you think? Your comments are always welcomed.

I appears that I have been working hard on Christmas cards, doesn't it? I am doing a craft show in Angleton in November and want to have lots of Christmas choices. I also sell my cards at a shop in Brenham and it's just that time that Christmas is needing to be available. This card was made with a wonderful stamp from Layers of Color, a great Christian company who has invited me to do some guest design work for them. What an honor and privilege! I embossed this lovely deer in gold and the Happy Holidays are actually metal brads, but I thought they looked great with this gold metallic look. Martha Stewart just keeps coming out with sensational new paper punches and I can't seem to resist them either. Hope you are getting a start on all your holiday crafting so that when the season is really here, you will have time to enjoy some of the other wonderful things that make this such a blessed season of the year!
Don't forget to get by Layers of Colors blog on November 14-15 for their new Autumn release of lots of new images.

LOC Reindeer
I am having such fun with my new stamps from Layers of Color. I used the architectual blocks and the reindeer on this card. I stamped the blocks onto some pink design paper and the reindeer on white. The embossed edge was done with the Victorian folder for my cuttlebug. Check out all that is happening over on the Layers of Color blog.

Layers of Colors
What fun to go to the mailbox today and find my new stamps from Layers of Color!!In November they will be releasing 9 new and fabulous clear stamp sets, totaling over 70 original art stamps. Go here to find out more information about the release party and the prizes.
CTD65 and VSOCT09B
This stamp is from Inkadinkadoo. The colors for the Color Throw Down were certainly celery, purely pomegranate, and taken with teal. I think I used rich razzleberry instead because I couldn't find any purely pomegranate. This is some of my stashed pomegranate ribbon however!!! This sketch is for the Verve Release week challenge. I'm a day behind but will use today to catch up. The dp is an old piece of retired SU paper.

FTTC38
For the Flourish Timeless Tuesday challenge, Dee asked that watercoloring be used to make the card. It appears she is getting busy on her Christmas stamping, as am I.
I had hoped my Flourishes' order would come today in time for Tuesday's challenge, but it didn't so I used this wreath from last month's releases. I used a watercolor brush to pick up some of the ink I put in the lid of my ink pad after I had embossed the image in gold embossing powder. After that I added some pearlized paint to my brush to put a light coat of pearlized paint over the ornaments. The papers are from Stampin' Up and Basic Grey, and the ivory cardstock is from Paper Trey Ink. I tired out my new spellbinder on this card too.

It's MOJO Monday!
This is for MOJO #109. Today's challenge in my stamp room is to organize my scrapboxes. They are about to overtake me. It's time to fight back!!!! I made use of some of the scraps still lying on my table and put them together to make this Christmas card. I love this mistletoe from the Peaceful Wishes set from Stampin' Up. The dp is some old retired SU paper as well. Now that I am no longer a demonstrator for SU, I value my retired sets much more than I did before. At a stamp swap this weekend, someone who is an SU customer said, I love my retired sets and it is sad they get treated like rejects at swap meets. I had to admit that demonstrators are only interested in making things with current marketable things in the catty, but it does send a negative message. Some of the ones customers own and want to use are no longer in the catty and their cards are criticized for that. Most of the swaps I have been to lately have not been SU only ones, and don't have that attitude about them. The point of these swaps for me when I was a demonstrator was to keep my customers stamping and loving the art. If they don't keep stamping, they don't replace papers or collect more for projects they are not doing!!!!So, keep stamping, keep using all those stamps you loved when you bought them, because they will still stamp endless amounts of great cards.

Stampin' Sisters in Christ #9
This is for the Stampin' Sisters in Christ challenge #9, which was to use a nativity and the scripture is from Luke 2;11 "Today in the town of David a savior has been born to you, He is Christ the Lord." (NIV) I used my new Martha Stewart punches and colored this Stampin' Up image in rich cocoa Memento ink. I colored it with my copic markers and added ribbon and flowers. The holly leaves are a Martha Stewart punch. I used a rhinestone cross for the star and rhinestone centers for the flowers. The card base is not quite navy cardstock and the dp is from Basic Grey.

Cindy Haffner gave us a sketch with a choice of positions for this week's challenge over on the Flourish Newsletter blog. I used my new wreath set from Flourishes to make this card. The design paper is from Basic Grey's Figgy Pudding. I used some hoarded kiwi kiss for the card base. The half circle was riding hood red (another old "in" color that I miss). Have you ever figured out why Stampin' Up retires these colors that still have such marketable possibilities??? I never have figured that one out at all!!
I used my copic markers to color in the rich cocoa stamped wreath. These little gems are iridescent and picked up on the greens and blues of this card, except when I took a photo. In the photo they look purple.

I'm getting busy with my Christmas stamping as I am going to be doing a craft show in November. I thought this was a lovely sketch over on Midnight Madness' sketch challenge. I used Basic Grey Figgy Pudding paper and old olive cardstock. I loved this gold chrome cardstock I found at my local scrapbook store. I used my herringbone cuttlebug folder to make the gold strip and I used my nestabilities to cut the ovals. I just freehanded the fan-like panels. I used Memento pear tart for the tree with some Brillance galaxy gold on the edges.

FLLCOCT
I am so looking forward to the new releases from Flourishes that happen later this week. I used my cuttlebug folder to make the background. I love pink and silver so embossed this wreath in silver and used various pink copic markers to color the ornaments that cover the wreath. I made my bow from silver chording and used a jeweled brad for the center of the bow. You can check for the details of the challenge here.

Stampin' Sister in Christ Challenge #8
This is for the Stampin' Sisters in Christ challenge #8, which was to do a baby card. I used Flourishes' Baby Love set. I love this bassinet and the sweet verse. I also used Flourishes' basket weave stamp for the background. I used regal rose ink and some SU design paper and some Basic Grey design paper using my nestabilities to cut the shapes. The white paper is from Paper Trey Ink. The verse is stamped in Memento's black tuxedo.

Kitchen Sink Crew Challenge #18
Recently, I went to Georgia to the Kitchen Sink event and learned that I could start at the step 2 or 3 rather than the first one. That has improved my multistepped stamping considerably. I love their monthly challenges and it is always a chance to win a great prize. This is a great set I used because it makes a nice masculine card. Those are always most difficult for me. The challenge this month is to use 1 pop dot, 2 embellishments, and 3 stamped images. It was fun and very open ended for all kinds of possibilities. Get out your favorite Kitchen Sink set and give it a try!!

Spreading God's word is something I think is a call of discipleship for me, so I love making at least a couple of cards a week that use a scripture from the Bible. I used the sketch from the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge this week for this one. Most of the design papers I used are from Basic Grey, which is one of my favorite paper companies because of the beauty of their designs. Cameo Coral is one of my favorite SU colors and putting it with chocolate chip and old olive is a combo I like a lot.

I have many friends who are survivors of breast cancer and I have some dear friends who lost their earthly battles against it, so October is always a very important month for thinking about the fight many brave women of our country face in this continuing battle. This set by Flourishes is one of my favorite created to honor those who work hard to bring about breast cancer awareness and what can be done to prevent it. If you have not checked it out, you need to do so at Flourishes.

MOJO Monday 107

I just love the colors in the new Basic Grey Indian Summer pack. The embossing was done with one my new Cuttlebug folders. The cardstock is cameo coral and chocolate chip. Check out the challenge here.

A captured moment
I have a huge sunflower plant that just came up on its own in my front yard. There had been a big bush in that spot before so if this had tried to come up before it must have been crowded out by the bush. This morning I found this gorgeous monarch butterfly checking out all the sunflowers. Just wanted to share!

FTTC35 and MMSC21
I went to visit my sister and parents on Tuesday, which is my favorite day to stamp because of all the wonderful challenges that happen on that day. So, since I am playing catch up, I decided to combine two of them on one card. So, for Francie's challenge on Flourishes to make an out of the box image, I decided to use this image from Flourishes and my layout was for
