CCEE1639 Christmas or winter card

This was Lois' final challenge for us this month: make a Christmas or winter card.
I am always happy to get to make a Christmas card early ahead of the rush. December gets so busy and too much that needs to be done, so there's less time to get those creative juices flowing. I had a good time with this one. I used a new die I had bought at a convention and found these two little mini candy canes in my stash of embellishments, so thought they looked rather cute on the card.

Please check over on the CCEEstampers blog site for other cards made by members of the team.
If you choose to play along, use the CCEE1639 as your keyword over on SCS or add it as an attachment to you comments on the CCEE blog site here.

MOJO467

It's been a while since I have taken part in a Mojo Challenge card, so this sketch today looked like a great one to do:

I used Verve stamps, Chromatix markers, and so a double sided design paper for parts of it.

Mod Squad Challenge for the week and C4C355

The challenge for Mod Squad was to have a splat on your card. This yellow splat was to be a sunflower in my mental picture of this, but after it turned out looking like a splat, I left it as such. The stamps are from Kitchen Sink Stamps and multi-layering is a real challenge for me. But I have to say that the MISTI sure makes it easier.  You can find this challenge on the Mod Squad Blog.  I love fall colors.

Since it is a birthday card for a friend, it also works for the C4C355 challenge this week.

Paper Players Challenge 313

I made this card for this week's challenge over on Paper Players:

I used an old set from Stampin' Up that I have had for years, but still love for the fall season.
I masked off the section for the sentiment and used a variety of colors of inks for the leaves.
Fall is my favorite season, mainly for the cooler weather, and the beautiful colors.  The sentiment is from Layers of Color. I love using scriptures from the Bible on my cards as much as possible. as most of my cards I give to the Care Team at my church to send to those members who are needing prayers and extra care during times of trials or tribulations.

CCEE1638

This week Lois is  asking us to Follow the List.  Include on your card:
One (1) animal
Two (2) layers
Three (3) colors (plus neutrals -- black, white, gray -- if you wish)
38
I used orange, green, and red for my three colors. For the background I inked up my embossing folder and spritzed it with water and smashed my paper in between. Then I stenciled the flowers in by using the negative side from scraps left over from a punch. I added rhinestones just to add festiveness to the card. I am a Leo so I love lions.

Please check by the CCEEstampers blogsite to see the team's creations for this challenge. Join in the fun if you like and if you add to CSC, please use CCEE1638 as your keyword. You can attach your card to your comment if you like over at the CCEEstampers' blog HERE.

Little Red Wagon 360

Browsing around for a challenge to do, I found the Little Red Wagon challenge this week was themed SCHOOL RULES. Here's what I came up with. This is a digital stamp from Sassy Cheryl designs.
I used Copic markers to color the image and loved the red and white gingham with this. I even had some little covered button brads in my stash that matched.

JUGS361 color week challenge

Here's my card for this fun challenge this week over at Just Us Girls.

I used a Sizzix die to cut this and the sentiment is from Stampin' Up.

C4C354

I made this card for the sketch that is the challenge over at C4C354. The image is a Power Poppy digital image. This also demonstrates the versatility of a digital stamp, because I was able to digitally insert the circle and place the camellias behind it. My dilema then was the little tag that was to be the sentiment and since I put the sentiment in the circle I needed to come up with a different idea. So I found this rhinestone cross in my stash and decided it would have to represent the tag.  I used my Chromatix pens to do my coloring and loved this piece of plaid design paper for my background.

CFC156

This is for the CFC156 challenge to use dimensions and bling.  Since it is filled with swirls I will also add this to the F4A343 challenge on Splitcoaststampers. The best part is that it gives me another Christmas card in my stash.

CCEE1637 diecuts

Lois is again our hostess this week. The challenge is a fun and easy one:
Use no stamping, only die cuts. So I embossed my background and then made use of these nautical die cuts that I have had for awhile and haven't used yet. Loved this quick and easy way to get a thank you card made.
Hope you choose to play along. Simply add CCEE1637 to your card if you download to SCS and include it attached in our comments section.

Mod Squad fall colors

Playing some really fun challenges today on my afternoon off. This one is for the Mod Squad Challenge to do a card with fall colors. Here is where you can get the details. I created with diecuts today and a paper punch, and free handed my sentiment. Decided a few sequins would sparkle it up a bit.

C4C353

Having some fun this week taking part in some challenges I haven't done in a while. This one is for C4C353. The challenge was to use 10 of something on your card. I used this Martha Stewart punch becuase I could expand it to 10 flowers. This has been my go to color lately. The stamp used on this card is from Sweet and Sassy.  The other paper punch is from Martha Stewart as well.

Just add ink 328

The Just Add Ink challenge this week is to just add P. So, I used this  Peonies digital image from Power Poppy that I colored with my Chromatix markers. I also used pink because it starts with P.
It's always fun to have a little Friday stamp time.

CCEE1636 WORD

Lois came up with this challenge this week:
"I think most kids are back in school by now.  So lets have a Word Challenge -- the word being WORD.  Include something on your card that begins with each of the letters in W - O - R - D."

So here is my card for the challenge:: My W is for words in the background and white, O is for orange and olive, R is for red, and D is for deer. I decided to do something masculine.

Make sure to visit the CCEE Stampers blog to see what the rest of the team came up with for this clever challenge.  Make sure you put CCEE1636 as your keyword if you play along and load up onto SCS,

CFC155 Black, white, and a spot of color

Just having some fun today, staying home, doing a little organizing around the house and fitting in a little stamping. This card is for the CFC155 using black and white and a spot of color. I inked my embossing folder with black ink although it looks more gray after I ran it through the Cuttlebug.
I added black diecuts and a white label. After adding the light pink gemstones, I decided to add these roses as just an addition spot of color. I needed a get well card so this will come in handy. Rats, I was too late to enter it in the challenge.

ODBDSLC278

I finally found a little time to stamp this morning and decided to try the ODBDSLC challenge of dots and dashes. I used some fabulous dotted design paper for the background, a Martha Stewart paper punch with dots on it and some ribbon with dashes stitched on the edges.  I have a limited collection of ODBD stamps, but I love them. Here are two of my favorites that I'm not even are sure are available any more, but they will always be  a part of my stamp collection.

Mod Squad challenge - Foliage

This card is for the Mod Squad Challenge this week. The theme is foliage. I hunted out one of my old favorite Stampin' Up stamp sets to use for this challenge. I used all my fall colors of ink from SU and from Memento. The diecut is one of my finds( from the Stamps of Life) at the scrapbook convention I went to last Friday. I added the red ribbon to bring out the reds a little bit.
