Merry Monday Christmas Challenge 152

The challenge this week for Merry Monday 152 was to use lime, turquoise, and white. My lime was more a kiwi, but what fun it was getting to use non-traditional colors.
Taking part in this challenge helps me keep up with the 5 Christmas cards a month goal I have set for myself for 2015.  I love torn paper and I thought it would be fun for this challenge. I diecut the trees in white. Using the MISTI, I was able to clearly stamp my sentiment and get decent alignment for it.

Paper Players Challenge 238

I have a friend who is having a birthday this week, so this card is for her. The challenge over at Paper Players was a fun tic tac toe challenge:

For my card I used a adorable Sassy Cheryl Design digital, and the sentiment is from Stampin' Up.
I used copic markers to color the image. I used the last row for my tic tac toe line.

CCEE1513 Out like a lamb

Anne is completing her round for hosting the March challenges, and this week as March is making its way to its final week, she has asked us to use a lamb or farm animal on our cards. As the old saying goes, March "goes out like a lamb.:  I used a little stamp I found in the $1.50 bin at Michael's last spring. I loved the detail on the lamb and it even has on a little bow. I chose lots of spring colors to go along with it and the sentiment is from Sweet and Sassy stamps.

I hope you will check over at the CCEEStampers' blog to check out all the other cards from the other DT members. Hope you find the time to play along, and have your little sheep join the flock by linking it over at the blog. If you load it to SCS, please use CCEE1513 as your keyword.

SC533

This card is for the sketch challenge today over on Splitcoaststampers. I don't really care for this shade of yellow (crushed curry), but I toned it down some using peanut brittle ink from Memento and stamping the matching background stamp that coordinated with this set from Our Daily Bread Designs. I stamped the verse in bamboo leaves and found this butterfly design paper in my stash of pads. Just so the circle was not so glaring white, I stamped just a subtle portion of that background stamp on it as well. I used my new MISTI on the butterfly and it made it a breeze to line up these two layers. Hope you are enjoying a glorious spring. We have had a lovely week here on the Gulf coast of Texas.

JUGS285

Here's my card for the Just Us Girls Challenge this week. I used gold as my choice color. I used an old SU sentiment, a rose image from Inkadinkado, and the lace from Paper Inspirations. I shaded the rose with a pale yellow copic marker just to add a little dimension to it. The gold is some fancy cardstock I probably got at Michael's or Hobby Lobby. Trying to reduce paper stashes and this gold has been stashed for a while. I used a gold gel pen to outline on the lace.

CCEE1512 Weather

Ann's challenge for us this week is to use some form of weather. I am using a digital image from Sassy Cheryl Designs. I thought these clear dewdrops looked like rain drops, so I placed a few on my card. I didn't have a sentiment that seem to fit, so I freehanded one.

Please check out all the fabulous weather ideas from the rest of the team over on the CCEEstampers blog. Play along and add your card to the linky over there too. If you post on SCS, please use CCEE1512 as your keyword.

CCEE1511 Green

Thanks, Anne, for this fun challenge this week. I love doing this technique with an embossing folder. I don't even remember what it is called, but it looks great in green with this pretty embossing folder. I used the sentiments from an Our Daily Bread Design set I have. The shamrock is a great symbol for the Trinity. I am so lucky to have my faith in Christ, the love of God, and the hope of the Holy Spirit in my life. Have a blessed St. Patrick's Day everyone!!

If you want to join in on the fun this week add CCEE1511 as your keyword for SCS and make sure you link your card over on the blog site: www.cceestampers.blogspot.com

{Glory Art} Challenge #2 Representative

This is for the {Glory Art}Challenge #2 - Representative. I love this scripture from1 Peter. I draw my zentange with a black fine tip Sharpie, and then color it with my Copic markers.  How excited I am to have found these challenges!

{Glory Art} Challenge} #1 - Trust

I just ran across Patter Cross' {Glory Art} Challenge she started back in January. It was so inspiring that I have decided to play catch up and try to complete them all up to today' s date. These are some scriptures that have spoken to me about TRUST. I love zentangling, so that is the art form I choose to create in for my challenge journal.

CCEE1510

Anne Harmon is out hostess for March, and since March generally comes in like a lion, her challenge for us is to use a wild animal them. I used this silhouette from Sweet and Sassy. I sponged on the sun, and decided to use some animal print design papers to add some additional wild animal textures to the card. Hope you join us this week. Be sure to use the keyword CCEE1510 on your card over on SCS, and share your card on our link on CCEEStampers blog.

CTD332

This card is for today's Color Throw Down challenge using red, tan, navy, and turquoise.
Masculine cards are not usually my "go to" card but today, I seem to have nautical theme in mind, s so this works great for a masculine card. The stamp is from Stampin' Up.

Merry Monday Christmas Challenge 148

This is a digital image from Sassy Cheryl Designs. I have challenged myself to complete 5 Christmas cards a month. I have gotten my 10 done for January and February, so I has excited to find this challenge posted on pinterest by Harriet Skelly. So the challenge this week was to use green and red. So here is my card, my first for March.
