This is for the Cuttlebug Spot Challenge using a favorite flower.I love a single rose and this rose from Mark's Finest Papers is my favorite to stamp. I colored it with my copic markers. The embossed back panels are done on core'dinations and then sanded to see the underlying color. I'm still busy making Mother's Day cards for all the special moms and friends who are wonderful moms.

Honoring our Mothers

The challenge for today's Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge was to make a Mother's Day card. I used a piece of core'dinations textured paper to emboss and sand for the background panel. Then I used the Embrace Life set from Stampin' Up for the flowers and the sentiment is also from Stampin' Up. I colored on the flowers that were stamped onto sweet blush from Paper Trey Inks and then colored it dimensionally with my copic makers. The leaves are a Martha Stewart punch.

Belli Challenge #89

This week's image is a digital image from Sweet n' Sassy. The challenge for this week is to use diecut shapes. I used one of my new spellbinder set.I also used  some nestabilities for the tag. The design paper is from my favorite company, Basic Grey. The cardstock is pink pirouette, which Stampin' Up is bringing back--yeah!!! I liked it with the kraft paper and  white natural. I colored the image with my copic markers. The sentiment is from Sweet n' Sassy as well.
I hope you will join us using some of your favorite die cut shapes. Go over to the Creative Belli Challenge blog to link your card to Mr. Linky.

FLLCAPR10 Cherries

Not liking my chances as #1 on Mr. Linky, I decided to do another twincy for Flourishes' monthly challenge so I could have another shot at the free sets to be given away.  This is one of my favorites sets from Flourishes. I used pure poppy cardstock from PTI. I colored in with my copic markers.
I cuttlebugged half of my card and used my Martha Stewart punch along with my SU punch  on the black cardstock. Red, black, and white are one of my favorite color combos, and that touch of green in the leaves gives it a little pazazz as well.

MOJO MOnday 134

This card is for the Mojo Monday sketch. I used a piece of Basic Grey design paper to inspire the colors and other elements of my card. The punch is my freebie from Stampin' Up from Salebration. The sentiment is also Stampin' Up.
Using some of my retiring barely banana and apricot appeal on this card as well as dusty durango. The cardbase is pretty in pink.

Psalm 27:14 SSIC#34

Learning to trust in the Lord has given me great peace. He teaches me patience in my waiting and builds my strength in trusting His timing to be much more perfect than the time frame I place upon situations. I take peace in knowing when His timing is right,  it will be perfect in every way.I love John Waller's song "While I'm waiting" which says "While I'm waiting, I will serve you. While I'm waiting I will worship.
While I'm waiting I will not faint, I will run the race even while I wait." God can put that wait time into very productive things when we just give it to Him.

This scripture stamp is from Sweet and Sassy. I used sage shadow cardstock to emboss with my cuttlebug, and two pieces of Basic Grey design paper that I cut with my spellbinders. The flowers, leaves, and butterflies are punch from various paper punches. Yellow stickles added the glimmer.

I added a basic black piece to frame it.

CCEE1014_silhouettes in the shade

I've always loved this retired set from Stampin' Up. I thought one of the stamps in this set would be perfect for the CCEE challenge this week called "Silhouettes in the shade". The little girl chasing butterflies seemed just the image for spring. I used some old SU design paper, certainly celery cardstock and Basic black. The other design paper is from Basic Grey.  The butterflies are punch with a Martha Stewart butterfly punch using some scraps from my scrapbox.

FTTC61

What fun it was today to get the chance to play all of the Tuesday Challenges I love!! This card is for the Flourish Timeless Tuesday Challenge to use something you've been saving. This little dragonfly charm is from a small collection I have hoarded for years. I used one of my newest Flourish sets, Lace Edges, embossed in gold onto a piece of Basic Grey dp. Even though I have used the larger violets in the violet set, I have not ever used this small one. Seemed like the perfect challenge to put some ink on it.

CC265 and MMSC48

This is a double challenge card. I find myself doing more of that because of time limits. What's the old saying,,,killing two birds with one stone?? This is for the Midnight Madness sketch challenge this week and also for the SCS' color combination challenge. This week's colors: soft suede, tempting turquoise, and certainly celery. I used a Paper Trey stamp for the flower, and a SU sentiment. I punched out my butterflies, colored my white pearls with a brown copic marker and did all my coloring with copic markers.

MOJO 133

It's Mojo Monday and I just had to get one done as I have missed a few Mondays lately. Love this quote of Oprah's on this stamp from Verve.

Stampin' Sisters in Christ #33

The challenge for the Stampin' Sisters in Christ was based on the scripture, John 3:16. Your card was to represent something that represents LOVE to you. Well, I just happen to have this scripture on my latest Verve stamp set, so I could not think of anything that shows more love than the love of which these words speak.

I love this paper from Basic Grey that I mounted onto Scarlet Jewel cardstock (PTI).

I hope everyone had a very blessed Easter and were reminded of just how much God loves you in these words.
