CCEE1717

Hi....Joanne is back  with her last challenge for the month of April. She writes:

When    I    think    of    April    I    also    think    of    flowers….spring    is    here    and    flowers    are    blooming.        That    is    probably    why    April    is    National    Garden    Month.        Make    a    card    that    includes    floral    or    garden    images.

We hope you will play along with us.  If you do, when uploading to SCS please use the keyword CCEE1717.

CCEE1716

Joanne is again our hostess for this week and she made it a fun one.

April    is    also    Global    Astronomy    Month.        Create    a    card    having    to    do    with    astronomy,    such    as    moons    and    stars,    but    not    limited    to    that.        You    could    also    fantasize    about    alien    creatures    and    space    travel.        Use    your    imagination….Dazzle    us!!!

If you play along with us, please upload to the SCS gallery using the keyword CCEE1716.

Here are the 'out of this world' creations made by the CCEE Stampers team you can check out here.

I found an oldie but goodie when I went on my adventure in my stamproom for something that would fit this theme. I can't remember when it last had ink on it. I didn't even remember having this one, so it might have been one a friend who got out of stamping sent me all her old sets. The sentiment stamp is one I bought at Hobby Lobby. Thought it fit well with the theme. I did a little wet embossing and added some silver sequin stars as well.

CAS and stenciling

I love doing stenciling especially now with my Clarity brushes I purchased recently. I used a Unity stamp set to stamp over this stenciling for these CAS challenges I found over on Paper Playful:
AAACards CAS#88
CAS on Sunday #106

I used Ranger Distress inks for the stenciling and Versafine black for the sentiment.

CCEE1715 Humor

Joanne is our hostess for  the second April challenge for the CCEE Stampers and you.

The    month    of    April    is    National    Humor    Month.        There    are    many    occasions    when    a    funny    image    or    sentiment    can    make    the    day    of    someone    facing    some    type    of    a    challenge    (or    an    ‘aged’    birthday).        Please    make    cards    using    humor.

We hope you will join us with this challenge.  When uploading your card to SCS, please use the keyword CCEE1715.

Don't forget to check out the other humorous cards created by the others on the team over at the CCEEstampers' blog to give you your laugh for the day.

My card was made with an image from Artistic Impressions and a sentiment from Unity stamps. I found this fun design paper in my paper stash, which I am trying hard to deplete. I used copic markers to color my image.

My CAS spring card

There seem to be a lot of spring themed cards this week over on Paper Playful's list of challenges. So, here is a list of the ones it might qualify for:

Inspirational challenges #132, #196 challenge at 613 Avenue Create, and Come and Get it Challenge-In the Garden.

The stamp I used is from Unity. The die I used is by Stampin' Up, and the embossing folder I used is from Sizzix.

JUGS388 Multi step stamping

This is my latest mulri stepped stamp set from Hero Arts and I love it. When I saw that the JUGS #388 challenge was multi stepped stamping I knew which one to reach for.

You can find the challenge here:

Mod Squad Paper Piecing challenge

Paper Piecing is one of my all time favorite techniques and I find it so fun to piece the cool outfit for this pretty lady from Unity Stamps.  While checking out the weekly challenge for Mod Squad, I was so happy to see it is paper piecing. It was fun finding some woodgrain for the guitar even. You can check out this week's challenge over at Mod Squad Challenge.

We would love for you to join us with thisi challenge.  Please use the keyword CCEE1714 when uploading it to the Splitcoast galleries.

Sometimes it is one thing that gets your mojo going and on this card it was my wavy design paper on this card. I found it in my stash and then had to figure out the layout of the card and the elements to use with it. Here are the results. I used a retired Stampin' Up stamp on my card, diecuts, and did a little free handed sentiment. I have a friend whose husband remodels these little travel trailers for a hobby. She will probably be the one who gets this card.
