Color Throwdown Challenge #53

For this week's color throwdown challenge of pink pirouette, bordering blue, and rose red. I used my cuttlebug folder inked with rose red ink on the folder to emboss onto the pink. The stamped image is colored with copics and small seed pearls are added for the flower centers.

Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #12

I was pleasantly surprised how well the new Razzleberry Lemonade paper looks with perfect plum. I used the set, God's beauty. I used certainly celery to stamp the leaves, and versafine black to stamp the butterfly. I colored the butterfly with copics and the leaves with a bleander pen dipped in cerainly celery ink. I did the blanket stitch with my plum ribbon. The bow is from some burgandy organdy ribbon. Combinig some primas I found in my stash added the finishing touch. You can find the MMSC here.

Mojo Monday #97

There's no better way to get your MOJO going than to check out the Mojo Monday challenge to start your week. I used my favorite Basic Grey paper. The card is chocolate chip cs and I used kiwi kiss and some pink out of my scrap box (probably pixie pink). The white pearls repeated the pattern of the white dots on the brads and I used the colors in the BG paper to stamp onto the white circle. The set is SU's Garden Greetings.

Copic challenge #8

This is a new set from Flourishes and I just love their Botanical sets because they are so fun to color. This was done with my copic markers: Y15,YG17.G28,W1, R29, R39, 0. I used a piece of retired dp from Stampin' Up and real red, certainly celery, and basic black cardstock. The image was stamped on white (PTI) with versafine black.

Color Throw Down #52

I don't use purple or plum very often, so glad this challenge forced my hand on this. The colors for this challenge are plum, chocolate chip, and certainly celery. I love this image from Penny Black that I colored with my copic markers. I cut a diagonal piece of the chocolate chip to divide up the background somewhat. The dots were done in chocolate chip with the polka dot bg stamp from Stampin' Up. All papers, ribbon, and ink pads are from Stampin' Up. The dew drops were added at the last minute. Click here to check out this challenge.

A free download

This digital image from Digital Stamp Oasis makes me feel cooler just looking at it. We have been experiencing 3 digit numbers in our temperatures around here. You can download this image here. Go and check it out. I used my copic markers to color this and added gelly roll stardust on the snowman and on the snow. I used my snowflake embossing folder for the background and then I punched out some of the snowflakes and embellished them with rhinestones.

House Mouse challenge-white on white

Today's House Mouse challenge is to use only white for card and embellishments with your house mouse image. I did a little embossing and diecutting to add a little texture and dimension. I colored the image with copics and trimmed the cup and leaves with a gelly roll stardust pen. Pearls were added to the centers of the primas.

KSCC15

I recently ordered and quickly received this new Kitchen Sink Stamp of cats and dogs. It is adorable with the cutest little sentiments as well. I could not believe how quickly that order came. Great job, Maria! This card is made for their Monday Kitchen Sink Crew Challenge. These challenges are fun and prizes are involved, so how much more fun is that when you might even win a new stamp set for it. This dog is done in 4 easy steps. I am always amazed at how KSS' images look like actual photographs. They are truly unique and not like any other stamps out there. Keep up the good work, Kitchen Sink!

MOJO96

I can't think of a better way to start the week than with the MOJO Monday challenge found here. I used my tulip stamp from Flourishes. I used my copics for the coloring. I sponged the edge of the circle with sage shadow. This is one of my favorite color combos.

MMSC10

I'm a day late for this challenge, but have done all the others and didn't want to pass on this one either. I'm having some major work done at my house so my stamproom is some what dispersed. Here's what I came up with using the scraps I had available to me. You can find the midnight madness sketch challenge here. The stamp is from Stampin' Up. I did my coloring with copic markers.

MOJO Monday 95

I love the new melon mambo from Stampin' Up along with pretty in pink and pink pirouette. The Basic black does a great job of helping those colors pop. I stamped the flower from the always set with melon mambo and kept stamping to lighten the color. The sentiment is from Sweet and Sassy. The design paper is punched with a Martha Stewart scalloped border punch. I punched a butterfly with a Martha Stewart punch and placed it in the silver hardware. Prima flowers were added with brads for the centers. The bow is made with burgandy organdy.

Flourish Timeless Tuesday Challenge

Here's my Flourish Timeless Tuesday challenge. I can't seem to get enough of my kiwi kiss and baja breeze. I hate they are being taken from us. Isn't that cruel?? I used the violets set and the verse is also from Flourishes. The challenge was to cut out some of your design and pop it up. I also used my nestabilities on this and I thought the tiny seed pearls were perfect flower centers.

Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #9

I love Tuesdays because of the great challenges that happen on that day of the week. This is for the Midnight Madness Sketch challenge. I used my new Stampin' Up 's Autumn Day stamp for this arrangement and added a few speckles with my itty bitty background stamp. I used some of the new soft suede ink and some of the retiring color baja breeze. Actually, I am mourning the loss of my baja breeze. I have a stash, but it's going to have to last me during these hard times. (sniff, sniff). The vase is punched from the wide oval punch.

Today's 365 challenge

Here's the inside of the card for day 128 from Psalm 37:4.

365 challenge for the day

This is for day 128 to use a rub on, a piece of ribbon with no bow, 2 buttons, 1 piece of design paper and a sentiment inside on a 5 by 5 card.
I've been on a house mouse kick lately. The cardstock is groovy guava. The design paper is from Paper Studio, the ribbon is guava as well. I loved this speckled button I found, but I only found 1 so had to add another button altough not the same. Go to my blog to see the inside.

Super Sketchy Sunday-day 127

Trying out one of Stampin' Up's new "in" colors called cruched curry. This is also one of the new stamp sets that is availbable in the new catalog. I inked the stamps with a soft suede marker (oh, BTW Stampin' Up has finally come out with markers for the new in colors as well) and this dusty durango marker and soft suede marker are two of the colors. This sketch is Pamela's for the 365 challenge. I am enjoying these challenges because they are daily and because they are quick and fun to do!!!

Show Your True colors

This is for Day 126_show your true colors for the 365 Challenge. I thought a few table arrangements for the 4th would be a way to put out our red, white, and blue!!! I hope everyone has a safe and happy 4th of July!! It's suppose to hit 103 degrees here in the Houston area, so I guess we will be as hot as firecrackers around here. Also because of our lack of rain, fireworks are being banned except for the big events that have hired the fire department to be on duty during them. Hope you are cooler wherever you are!!

Digitals and Diecuts

I just think that Sammy from Digital Stamp Oasis is just one of the cutest of digital images. I used him for this Limited Supply Challenge on Splitcoaststampers. My cuttlebug diecuts are used for the corner pieces, and my two embellishments are the little blue buttons.

Day 123

This is for day 123 on the 365 cards challenge of this layout leaving the white center white. Here's my take on that. Loved this daisy paper from K&Company. Used some primas and brown buttons as the flower centers. The center white panel is scored using my Scor-Pal.

Color Throw Down #49

I used soft sky dp, groovy guave cs, and chocolate chip cs.
I used a few of my border punches, my cuttlebug diecut, and my nestabilities. This cross is one of my prettiest in my collection of crosses and it is from Stampabilities. I added a few pearls and this is my creation for the Color Throw Down challenge of the week. These are some colors I love and miss, but fortunately I have a stash.
