Belli Challenge #116

The frame stamp(Clear Stamps) has been in my stash for quite some time so it got it's first stamping on this wedding card. It was a prize I won some time ago. The rhinestones were even included with the stamp. The little bride and groom is from Studio 119. The ribbon has been hanging there unopened in my stamproom too.

Anniversary Challenge #52 for Speedy's Friends

It's an anniversary for Speedy the Cat's Friends Blog Challenge. One fabulous year of great card making and many lucky winners of stamps sets and the opportunity to be featured stamper. You won't want to miss the fun and the opportunity to win a new stamp set. The challenge is to make an anniversary card. I used two of Mark's Finest Papers' sets for this card: Hearts Hearts Hearts and Just Dandy. I stamped the heart with angel pink ink and the dandilion I colored onto the stamp with Stampin' Up markers: melon mambo and certainly celery. The pink did not show up as nicely as I had hoped it would so I punched these little flowers out with a Creative Memories mini punch. Sometimes things turn out better when you mess up. I always try to convince stampers that mistakes are only opportunities to get MORE creative. I thought this card would be very pleasing to the CAS fans since this is a single layered card that is mostly white. I used some terrific white cardstock that is fabulously thick from Mark's Finest Papers as well.

SugarCreekHollow Challenge-Monochromatic

This is for the Sugar Creek Hollow Challenge to do a monochromatic card. I did this in light blues.
The stamps are from Mark's Finest Papers. I used my Spellginder to make the frame and added a bow and soft blue dew drops. The tag was made with my SU oval punches. The design paper is from Basic Grey.

Stampin' Sisters in Christ #85

The challenge this week is to use versamark ink somewhere on your card for a tone on tone look. I used a Fiskar stamp using the Versamark for my background. I used the watercan from Mark's Finest Papers' new release, In My Mother's Garden. I added the paper punched leaves and flowers and a brown ribbon (although it looks black in this photo).

Fairy Collage

I used many of the stamps that were included in this set called Garden Fairies by Mark's Finest Papers for the background for this card. It was a great way to design the design paper that would coordinate the best.
I figured that is collage in my book of definitions. I really loved this done in pinks and black and white.

Stampin' Sisters in Christ #84

I had to use a cross for this challenge because of the Mark 15:17 scripture used this week:
THEY PUT A PURPLE ROBE ON HIM, TWISTED A
CROWN OF THORNS,
AND SET IT ON HIM.
The cross is from Inkadinkado, and the quote is from Our Daily Bread.  The cross is embossed in gold, and the quote is stamped in Tuxedo black ink. The embossing folder is from Sizzix. The paper punch is from EK.
I added a rhinestone cross to the middle of the cross. The purple card stock is the prettiest purple in my opinion on the market. It is from Mark's Finest Papers and is called Grandmother's Favorite Purple.
You won't want to miss Kris' devotional today over on Stampin' Sisters in Christ's blog. It is so perfect for the Lenten season.

More Sneak Peeks

This fairy queen was done in honor of Harriet, our queen for the day, whose lovely card is on the right on my computer screen. I used a new Cuttlebug embossing folder I had received last week and thought it was perfect for the queen for a day challenges. I am thrilled Harriet was selected this week. She is a talented contributor over on Splitcoaststampers and always leaves such encouraging and sweet comments for others. I also have the privilege of working alongside Harriet for Mark's Finest Papers' design team.
Again, congratulations, Harriet. You are most deserving of this honor.

A Sneak Peek from MFP

It's sneak peek time for Mark's Finest Papers April releases. You won't want to miss next week's blog hop either. This set is called In My Mother's Garden. I did this for the SCS color challenge this week.

Speedy the Cat's Friends' challenge #49

I decided to do a little reversal of this technique of coloring the background part and leaving the spotlighted area in black and white. I used the chickadee and fern set from Mark's Finest Papers. The cardstock is close to cocoa, whit, and Basic Grey dp. I stamped the image in tuxedo black and bamboo stalk. The coloring on the bird and around it and the branch are with copic markers. The punch is from EK,
