CCEE1426 sunglasses

Anne's last challenge for us for June is SUNGLASSES! Summer time is here, the sun is overhead, and we all need to protect not only our skin, but also our peepers! Join in on the fun over at
CCEEStampers  and if you download over at SCS  use CCEE1426 for your keyword.

For my card I used an old retired Stampin' Up stamp set and the sunglasses are acturally a sticker embessishment I found on sale last week. Hope you are all having a fabulous summer and that you are enjoying some of your favorite seasonal things (like the beach)!!!

MOJO351

This is for the MOJO Monday challege #351. Not sure I got my sizing right, but wanted to use this pretty reversable design paper for this sketch. Here's the sketch:
The stamps I used are of course, from Verve.

HMFMC172

The challenge over at House Mouse is to use die cuts or punches. I did both. Love this little bunny soaking in a bubble bath (one of my favorite ways to relax). I added the little rubber duckies and the wave which were die cuts. The circle band across the back is a Martha Stewart punch.

ODBDSLC207

I love one layer cards, which is what the challenge is this week over at ODBDSLC. I have been enjoying doing the printing with my embossing folders by rubbing ink on one side of them, spritzing it with water, and then placing the paper in between and pressing down on it. I did one side of my card like that and then added the ODBD butterflies and colored them with copic markers. Then I added the ODBD sentiment. I love flate cards that are so easy to mail and don't require extra postage.

CCEE1425 - all white

Anne is again providing our new challenge.....There are 2.4 million June brides in America every year.  It became known as the "marriage month" during the Middle Ages - because - people were clean after taking their ANNUAL MAY BATHS!!!  Please make an all white card.

Please join us by going over to the CCEE Stampers blog.

Make my MOnday

This card is for the Make My Monday challenge, which was to make a pink card. I inked my embossing folder with rose bud ink and then spritzed it with water, inserted my pink paper and then pressed over the folder to get my background on this card. The stamps are from Flourishes I used some of my S[ellbinder dicuts for the focal point.

CAS on Sunday #35

The challenge this week on CAS on Sunday was to use paper piecing. I love this stamp from Inkadinkado. Some of the bottles are paper pieced with design papers. The coloring is done with copic markers. I kept it clean and simple by stamping into onto white cardstock and making it only one layer.

MOJO Monday #350

This is for the Mojo Monday challenge #350. I used Verve stamps and Graphics 45 design paper. I think these words will be comforting to send out to many of my dear friends who are fighting cancer,  and need encouragement.

CCEE1424

June is the month roses are in full bloom in our gardens. I decided to not only use my favorite rose stamp from Flourishes but also my rose embossing folder. I inked the embossing folder, spritzed it with water and then put in the white paper and rubbed over the back to look like I stamped with the folder. Because the stamps I used are the cling type, I was able to do my sentiment in a curve to make it fit my space.  If you are like me, I have quite a collection of rose stamps, so pull one out and play along with us over at CCEE Stampers this week. Thanks Anne, for this wonderful challenge.

CASE study 194

When I went over to check on the CASE study challenge this week I was inspired by this card by
Pamela Ho:
I also used a little die cut that I have not used much. The rediscovery was a nice surprise.

CCEE1423

In honot of "Bank Holiday" in Ireland, we are doing a challenge here at CCEE using money or green. I didn't have any stamps that had anything to do with money, but I generated this Beatles' lyric on the computer thinking it might fit this challenge. Of course, I used lots of shades of green on this card. The card base was embossed with a Darise embossing folder that I had inked in various greens, but it didn't turn out where you could see it well. I added the Martha Stewart border and this little vine die cut from MFT. Hope you will join in on the fun over at CCEE this week.

A double challenge

This card is for the Color Throw Down challenge to use pretty in pink, bravo burgundy, and melon  mambo. I inked my embossing folder and then ran it through my cuttlebug. The stripes are washi tape. The stamps are from Recollection (daisy border), Hampton Arts (bird), and Sweet and Sassy stamps (sentiment). I used rose bud ink (Memento), burgundy baroque (SU), and tuxedo black (Memento). I used a burgundy Copic marker to die my white seam binding for my bow.  I am also using  the Freshly Made Sketch challenge #139 sketch for my layout.

Sassy Cheryl challenge #210

Doodle it up

The challenge over at Sassy Cheryl's was to do some doodling. I doodled  the balloons to help this little graduate celebrate this eventful day. I used copic markers to color the image.
