CCEE1704

Here's Vicky's last challenge for January:

By now, we're in the snow season (well, most of us!) except those of us in south Texas where we survived the two day cold snap! Let's see an all occasion card - thinking of you, get well, hello....any card you can send on a normal day...no birthdays or holidays...and it should have snow on it in one way or another.

ETA:  I just realized a Get Well card isn't an all occasion....but, I said it, so go for it if you want!

Come on, join in with us and show us your beauties!

Check out the fun cards of my team buddies over on CCEEStampers.blogspot.com

I sponged my sky, used torn paper for snow and the snowman (he's hand-designed like the real ones.)
I never see snow so these paper snowmen are as close as I get. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up and you can certainly celebrate friendship on any day you choose. Let today be a day you can celebrate just being you, my friends!!!

CCEE1703

This week, Vicky says, " lets' see some black and cream (ivory) cards.  Doesn't matter if you use die cuts, punches or stamps....let's see those black and cream cards!!"

Have a wonderfully creative day!

So, here's my black and ivory card, on which  I used one of my favorite techniques.  I inked an embossing folder with tuxedo black, then ran it through my Cuttlebug. I used a die from Stamping up for the center focus, and I can't remember the source for the prayers die and stamp.

CCEE1702 Trifold card

Vicky is hosting the challenges for CCEE this month and this week's challenge was to make any kind of a trifold card. I used the Joy fold on mine. I am way behind on my thank yous from Christmas, but I decided to brighten things a bit with these spring colors. The daisy stamp is from Flourishes and the bee is one of those dollar bin finds at Michael's. Making use of some fabulous design paper I found in my stash. A new year's resolution for me: Work from the stash and deplete the papers in my stamp room.

Hope you join in on the fun this week and if you load to SCS please use the keyword: CCEE1702.

Crafters of Faith - Friendship

Starting out the new year with a restart with a group of ladies who craft and share their faith. I was a member of this group years ago, and it is great to be getting back to sharing with Christian sisters who share the love of stamping. Tracie  started us off by suggesting we use this scripture from Proverbs as our inspiration: "A sweet friendship refreshes the soul."

I just couldn't seem to find the right colors and patterns to go along with this sweet stamp, but I loved the image of these two little girls holding hands. During a particularly difficult time recently, I have been thinking just what a treasure friends are. God has lead some very incredible friends into my life and even if I don't get to see some of them often, and we might live many miles apart, I love those true friends who you can just pick up that special relationship no matter what.  like nothing has ever seperated us. Isn't that what is so special about God's love for us: when He reminds us that NOTHING can separate us from His love for us.

CCEE1701 Bird Day

Starting this new year with a new die and an old stamp. Vicky is hosting this our first challenge for 2017 for the CCEE stampers. She is repeating the "Bird Day" theme this year again, because who doesn't love these wonderful feathered creatures?  Hunt down your favorite bird stamp and if you download it to SCS please use this as your code: CCEE1701.  I used Stampin' Up markers to color onto the rubber of the stamp, the I spritzed it with water, and stamped it onto white cardstock. I really like this color scheme even though it looks like spring. It doesn't take long for me to tire of the grays and whites of winter.
