Stampin'Bees #78

The Stampin' Bees are stamping up a color challenge this week of black, white, and red, a personal favorite of mine. Used the stamp set, Home Tweet Home from Mark's Finest Papers. I used a
Martha Stewart punch and placed some red circles behind the flowers.

CTD112

The colors for thus week's color throwdown is riding hood red, pumpkin pie, and old olive. I added some pieces of Basic Grey dp to this mix, used my new spellbinders, and stamped this cute squirrel from Mark's Finest Papers. I colored my white pearls to be olive with my copic marker as was the image.

Stampin' Sisters in Christ challenge #58

The Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge this week is to use a symbol of peace. One of the names for Christ is Prince of Peace so I think the cross is my choice of symbols for peace and I added the dove because it is always recognized as a symbol of peace to the world. So I hope my card represents the peace that Christ offers to all of the world. The cardstock is from Mark's Finest Papers. The cross is a spellbinder diecut. The stamp used is from Stampin' Up. The sentiment is from a stamp that had all the names of Christ on it. I used a SU marker to highlight only the Prince of Peace. I chose the pale blue because it is such a peaceful color. The green ink represents life and the life Christ lives through us.

Speedy the Cat's Friends' Blog Challenge #22

The challenge this week at Speedy the Cat's Friends' Blog Challenge is to use pumpkins. I decided to paper piece these two pumpkins that are a Mark's Finest Papers' stamp from Thankful Mums and Pumpkins. The fun design paper is from Cloud Nine.  I loved the diagonal stripe and decided to place my sentiment on a slant too. Fall colors are so fun. Hope you join in the fun over at
Mark's Finest Papers' blog for a great pumpkin parade.

I did this card for the fall challenge going on over at Kitchen Sink Stamps. I used Memento inks with the squirrel set from Kitchen Sink Stamps.

Stampin' Bee challenge #76

I'm letting this cute design paper represent my food for this challenge, and I let this sentiment mention my  favorite "food group".

MOJO 156

There is no better way to start the stamping week than with MOJO Monday's sketch challenge.
Teresa Kline's sketch was a perfect way to use up these Halloween scraps I've had lying around from other Halloween cards made last week. The images are from Mark's Finest Papers. I used tuxedo black and pumpkin pie ink. The punch I used is from Stampin' Up.

Speedy's Friends' Blog Challenge #20

This week's challenge for Speedy's Friends' Blog challenge was to use fall colors. I don't usually include purple in my palette of fall colors, but this design paper from Cloud 9 designs had some plum in it. Loved the contrast of it with the orange so thought it might be unique. I know I've mentioned this many times before, but Mark's Finest Papers purple cardstock is just the best purple ever! This purple ribbon is also from MFP, as is this latest release stamp called Autumn Fun.

These beautiful pumpkins are one of the stamps in the Thankful Mums & Pumpkins set as is this wonderful sentiment. I used the chickenwire background stamp for the darker orange panel from one of Mark's Finest Papers' other sets. The design paper is Basic Grey. I colored the image with copic markers. Since orange is my favorite color, fall gives me the best opportunity to make my share of orange cards. Hope you have had a fun week visiting our Blog Hop for Mark's Finest Papers, and good luck in the drawings on Saturday.

Influenced by this pretty piece of Basic Grey design paper, I punched some flowers making use of these colors to be the scene behind my skunks. I just think these skunks are the cutest things. A funny story: I made a little mask from a post it note to make this card. The other day the mask must have fallen to the floor. I went in to my stamp room to stamp one of those early morning cards (the kind when you are still in your pajamas). Then I headed to the bathroom to take my bath to get my day going. I guess I didn't realize this mask had attached itself to the bottom of my foot. I got into my bath water, laid out to enjoy a morning soak and the next thing I know I find this little skunk floating on the water. I just had to laugh at how this little guy followed me around that morning.

The fern stamp I used for this also is a Mark's Finest Paper stamp from Chickadee and Fern set. I punched the little flowers with a mini flower punch.

This is the perfect name for this stamp set: AUTUMN FUN, because I think autumn is the best of all the seasons. I love the colors, the festivals, the cooler weather, and the football games of the season. It also holds the fun holidays of Halloween and Thanksgiving. I am so eager for it to arrive.

For this card, I used more mustard cardstock, a pumpkin pie scrap, a piece of Basic Grey's Indian Summer collection, white, and an old piece of cardboard. I colored the image with copics, and added the sunflower buttons as the only embellishments. Have a happy hop, and good luck in the drawings.

Tree of serenity

I never seem to have enough sympathy and thinking of you cards around, so I decided to make me a stack to have on hand. I love this tree image from Mark's Finest Papers. I used soft suede ink and paper.
