COF September Blog Hop

This scripture came to mind when I think of harvest time from Luke 10:2. These are the words of Jesus,
"The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest. " We have started an Evangelism campaign in my church, and it really seems to be the time for Christians to be those workers He is sending out to reap that plentiful harvest of believers and non-believers.

I pre-posted this card because as this blog hop  is going on, I am just finishing up being the leader of a Kairos weekend in a Texas Prison Unit. This is a Christian ministry to takes the love of Christ into the prison units around the world.

I used diecuts and punches for this card. I computer generated the scripture, and the cross is from Stampendous. \

Spending this week serving the Lord at a Women's Prison in Texas. If you stop by, I hope you will say a little prayer for my team and the 42 participants who will be attending our 3 day ministry. My team has written 1681 letters, baked 1500 dozen cookies, and raised money to put this awesome weekend on.
Pray for cool weather as we are in an un -air-conditioned gym, safe travels for the team members who come from all over the state of Texas, protection for our families while we are away. Pray also for these women, who may experience God's love for the first times in their lives.

I will be back next week making cards for Breast cancer awareness month. It's time for the PINK!

Have a blessed week!! And thanks for your prayers.

MOJO 259

One of my favorite songs is "The Battle Belongs to the Lord" so I love this stamp from Verve. Using the sketch for the MOJO Monday challenge, I made this card using Verve stamps, and papers from My Mind's Eye.

SSIC 157

Time for my favorite season of the year. Love the colors, the cooler air, and all the fun that comes in those fall months.  I colored this image with my copic markers. The scripture stamp is from Verve. The pumpkin is from Recollection.

JUGS 154

The challenge for the Just Us Girls challenge is to use rainbow colors.
I used my Memento teardrop pads directly on the paper for this pattern. Then I used this cute silhouette from Flourishes  as is the sentiment. What child anywhere does not like rainbow colors or any of the rest of us for that matter.

Less is more--Ovals

This is becoming one of my favorite techniques, reverse masking. I used the left over from a diecut to make the masked piece. I sponged inside of the oval opening and then I stamp something inside on top of the sponging. The cedar is from Inkadinkado, and the sentiment is from Verve. You can find this challenge here at Less is More.

Word Art Wednesday 45

Making use of some new tools and stamps for this card this week. I had some gift cards I went shopping with and love using those 40% coupons that they read right from the screen of your phone. Isn't technology amazing??? Wanted to use some rich fall colors on this and how I love putting the scripture out in whatever ways it can be seen. So again, technology is amazing. I hope these words are read by eyes that want to see, and lives that want to be changed. And because of technology, people I don't even know may see this. and find the message just those truths they need for their day.

Fall is hopefully just around the bend, and the Belli Challenge is a perfect way to get the fall stamping going.
I just love the colors of fall. I used my new stamping gear for this card with its leaves stamps from Inkadinkado. I added a few punched pine needles and added the orange bow. The sentiment is from Verve.

I was inspired by the photo in the background of my card that I found on Pinterest. The little ornament stamps are from Flourishes. I embossed the paper of the background to look like antique tin. The window die was added. It is time to be thinking of those Christmas cards!! It will be here before we know it.

I am not sure if this meets the requirements of this challenge, but love this stamp from Paper Trey Ink.
I used memento inks.

CR84FN 62

The colors for the current CR84FN challenge is lavendar, peach, and neutral. I used kraft as my neutral. This is a new stamp I got recently from TPC Studio called Vintage Threads. I embossed the background cardstock of lavendar with a Sizzix embossing folder.

Less is More 84

When I saw what the challenge was over on Less is More, I had to use this need stamping set and stamping gear from Inkadinkado.  My nephew and his family gave me this wonderful set for my birthday. The sentiment is from Flourishes. The inks I used are from Memento. This is a one layered card featuring foliage, which was the challenge this week for Less is More.

I'm trying out a new embossing folder from Paper Studio. I embossed the blue paper as well, cut them out and added them to the embossed background. The stars are glittered stickers, a fast embellishment.
Check out their challenge HERE.

Twist of faith challenge #1

Wow, how excited I was to discover this new challenge listed over on The Daily Dare. It is called Twist of Faith.I love challenges that involve scripture and spiritual inspiration. This new paper and stamp set was sent to me by a member of my crafters of faith blog group in which I belong. Kelly sent this flower set and design paper to me as a little surprise gift and I received it around my birthday. The scripture stamp is from Verve and is one of my favorite scriptures. The theme was JOY so I thought these delighful flowers (Stampendous) and this scripture were perfect. I am wishing the this new blog challenge the best wishes and hope the efforts of the design team are richly blessed in this endeavor. I will pledge to do my best to be here every week.  It is fun to get started on the first week. I don't think I have done that in a long time.

House Mouse weekly challenge

I have a little granddaughter celebrating her 10th birthday this week, her second week back at school. I thought this would be a cute card for her. I used primary colors because those are the basic and when you think of school days, you are minded of the basics...reading, writing, and arithmetic. Always enjoy taking part in the House Mouse challenges.

MOJO Monday 257

My wonderful sister, Lynn, gave me this Verve set for my birthday. I just love it and wanted to use it on today's Mojo card. The design papers are from Graphics 45.
