We would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your continued support of our challenges every week, we love that you play along with us.

Wishing you all a Merry and Safe Christmas and New Year.

Now onto our challenge for this week .....

According to the Days of the Year web site, the 10th December is Gingerbread Decoration day and the 12th December is Gingerbread House day. So for our challenge this week let's include something gingerbread related on our cards.

Check out all the wonderful gingerbread designs of the team over on the CCEEStampers blog.

Unity Color Challenge- red, white, kraft

This is one of my new stamps from Unity Stamps, and I decided to use it for the new color challenge going on over at Unity Stamps this week to use red, white, and kraft. I stamped the image with versafine black, and colored it with Spectrum Noir markers. I used a Martha Stewart punch on the red cardstock, and added white pearls. The cardbase is kraft cardstock.

CCEE1648

Welcome to another week of challenges. This month we have Vicky as our hostess.

Today is Eat a Red Apple Day, so in the spirit of Christmas let's create something that includes the color Red.

Check out the other great cards from the rest of the team over at the CCEEStampers blog.

This might also fit the Craft Rockers Challenge #29 Winter time theme.

I used an stamp from Unity and colored it with copic markers chromatix markers, and Spectrum Noir markers. I found this little brass apple charm in my stash, so I colored it with my alcohol markers and daggled it with silver chord to go along with this theme of apple day.  I thought maybe this little red riding hood had a basket of apples she was delivering.

C4C364

Completing my month of getting to be guest designer with the Crazy for Challenge group. Thanks for giving me this opportunity to join in on the fun of these fun Saturdays.  On this card I made use of a retired Stampin' Up set added some punched decorations, so glittery strips of paper and sequins and rhinestones always add  some glam. Check out all the fun over at C4C blog.

CCEE1647 Pins and Needles

It's Frances as our hostess one last time to issue the challenges for November. I hope you enjoy her  final challenge for the month.

Sunday 27th November is Pins and Needles Day which commemorates the opening of a historical Broadway Play called Pins and Needles in 1937.

This week let's create cards with a sewing theme, using either stamps, dies,  papers, buttons, pins, needles or any combination of the above.

Such a fun challenge and I made some paper buttons, used seam binding for my ribbon, an actual pin, and images from the sewing room. Thanks, Frances for all
 your fun challenges this month.
Make sure to check out all the great cards from the team over on the blogsite:
www.cceestampers.blogspot.com

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you visiting my blog. Count your many blessings and fill your heart with graditude.

Fantasy Stampers Challenge - Vintage Christmas

I love vintage stamps and don't have a huge amount in my stamp collection, but I do love the ones I have and this is one of my favorites in my Christmas stamps. I tried to use muted colors using my copic markers. This gittered brocade paper was left as a scrap on my cutting table from a previous stamping project. Loved the regal colors and added the red seam binding tie to contrast and then added a sprig of holly. The challenge can be found here.

A little stamping fact about me. I don't really like repeating any card I do, mainly out of the lack of excitement that doen't carry over in duplicating what I have done. I love the creativity of putting it all together, so I compare myself to a kalidiscope. I just never like seeing it in the same way again, life is always in motion just like the pieces inside the kalidiscope, and the probablity of ever repeating that exact pattern is just so unlikely. As it is also with me. So, each person getting a handmade card from me  always gets a one of a kind, and I have to say finding these great challenges have been great motivation for me and kept me excited in the card making process this year. Most of them can be found here on my blog or in my gallery over at Splitcoaststampers. If you type in LLChristmas you will see many of my collection for this year that have been loaded over there. It's been a fun cardmaking season this year and I haven't had this much fun in years.

Bugaboo Bingo Challenge

I love these kinds of challenges, so had to get right on this one that the catch a bug challenge has going this week. Here's the choices:

I picked ribbon, Thanksgiveing theme, and distress.  Now to get this card in the mail tomorrow so it might arrive in time to my brother and sister in law. Hope all of you have a happy thanksgiving as well.

C4C363 Sketch

What a fun sketch this is for this week's challenge on Crazy for Challenges! Here it is, so give it a try and load your card over on the C4C

I used a favorite old Stampin' Up stamp on my card and loved working this striped design paper different directions fot the top squares. I colored the image with copic markers. I am always in need of "get well cards" so I made one for my stash.
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!!

Mod Squad challenge - Ribbons, Ribbons! Who's got the ribbon?

I decided to take on Judy and Vicki's challenge to use Ribbon on a card this week. I was excited to see Power Poppy being one of the sponsors this week. So, I printed out this Power Poppy holly digital I have on my computer. I have grown to love using digitals mainly having the advantage of sizing it to be whatever you need. I colored the image with copic markers and added a stamped senitment. I decided to add the ribbon a  little differently into the design of the card.  I am a huge fan of Marcella Hawley's artwork and have always enjoyed using her images on my cards.

Check out the details of this challenge over at the Mod Squad blogsite.

Jingle Bells Challenge - White Christmas

I have been finding all kinds of new Christmas challenges that have helped motivate me to get the rest of my Christmas cards done. A few new stamps and dies have also helped the motivation as well. Below you will see the photo that was my inspiration that went with the challenge I found here

Here is the inspiration for this challenge:

CCEE1646 Bears

Hi everyone,

Frances is again our fabulous hostess with another challenge.

Yesterday 16th November was "Have a Party with Your Bear Day". So to celebrate, let's feature bears on our cards this week.

Don't forget to check all the other team members cards on the CCEEstampers blog found here.

I used Kitchen Sink stamps for my card this week. The multilayering of the stamps help make this little fuzzy bear so lifelike. I added the punched flower as his offering of love, and tried to create a soft sky background.  I made a big bow with seam binding for the final touch. Hope he brings someone a little love.

Little Red Wagon Challenge 368 embossing

Here is my embossed card for the Little Red Wagon Challenge #368. I inked my embossing folder with teal zeal ink (Memento), Then I ran it through my Cuttlebug. The embossing folder is from Darice, Then I added the diecuts and gemstone. This was pretty quick and easy, and I like the elegant look the embossed background gave to this card.

CCEE1645 Orgami

Hi everyone,

It's Frances again, back with another challenge for you all.

Tomorrow 11th November is Origami Day, lets include something origami on our cards. It could be a folded shirt, dress, crane, a folded box whatever you like.

Now it is time to see what the Design Team came up with this week HERE.

This little sailboat is my attempt at orgami. I freehanded the "sail away!" sentiment.
Used a Paper Studio embossing folder for the ocean.

CQC367

Checking out the challenges today on Paper Playful and decided the colors for the CQC challenge this week are awesome.  So here is my card:

I used 2 retired Stampin' Up background stamps (French script I stamped in really rust and the Medallion in old olive). The flower and sentiment are from Verve stamps. The gold leaves are a Spellbinder leag die. I mounted this on some cool caribbean.

Tuesday Throwdown 319

This card is for two challenges today: the Tuesday Throwdown challenge, which the theme is all about words and the Color Challenge on Splitcoast Stampers to use soft sky, pacific poine, and elegant eggplant for the colors. It also qualifies for the Cuttlebug Mania tic-tac- toe challenge. I used embossing, diecuts, and purple.   I love this embossing folder that features the many words we use to express Merry Christmas, so I used is by inking up the folder and spritzing it with water before I ran it through my Cuttlebug. I added a few punched and diecut flowers and snowflakes. The purple gemstones added just a touch of glimmer to it as well. Folder from Sizzix, snowflake punch is Martha Stewart, and the diecut flowers are from Stampin; Up.  Inks are Stampin' up.

Come and get it challenge - Tic-Tac-Toe

Trying out some new challenges that I have found on Paper Playful. This is for the Come and get it challenge that was a tic-tac-toe challenge. I did the pink, ribbon, and gemstone row on the board. This stamp is from Unity Stamps.

Guest Designing for Crazy for Challenges

I was so honored to have my stamping friend, Mariann invite me to guest design over on the Crazy 4 Challenges website this month. I have enjoyed taking part in their challenges when my schedule allowed, and so happy this month worked out for me for the upcoming challenges. My card was made using a Flourishes stamp and sentiment. I used kraft paper as my base, Graphics 45 design paper, and black and white. I love coloring images so this one I did with my copic markers. I used one of my favorite border dies for this as well. Peaches are my favorite of the Texan fruits we have over the summer. Some of my dearest friends have moved away over the years,  but I find this sentiment to be so true of those dear friends that will always remain so. It doesn't matter how long it's been since you have seen them, it seems like we just pick up where we left off.

PP Power and Sparkle November challenge

Love the Power and Sparkle challenge for November that I found over on their blogsitehttp://powerpoppy.blogspot.com/:
I love this pink and white houndstooth paper I found in the bargains at Tuesday Morning a while back. It came in handy for this Think Pink challenge theme. I used Power Poppy's holly digital and fancy cut it out to spread cross the front of my card. I love silver with pink so I added the silver metallic ribbon too. A few diecut berries I added and I popped my holly up with dimensionals. Thanks, Power Poppy for getting me well on my way to getting my cards done before November is over.

CTD 417

On a roll getting some fun challenge cards done. This one is for the Color Throwdown #417 using orange, turquiose, and green. I love inking up my embossing folders, then I spritz it with water and then I smash it onto my card front. I used a stamp from Sweet and Sassy (the silhouette) and the other stamps are from Flourishes.

First Mod Squad Challenge for November - Go for the Gold

This card is for the Mod Squad Challenge that is found here. I found these lovely gold scraps in my stash, I used an old SU background stamp for the stamping on the middle circle. The embossing folder is from Sizzix, and the snowflake punch is Martha Stewart. I edged the middle circle with gold Nuvo embellishment mousse and added the gemstone for the middle of the snowflake. I figure if you use elegant items on an easy CAS card, you come up with some amazing results. This one will be easy to duplicate if I get in a bind for more Christmas cards needed.

AI challenge - Prep for Christmas 196

Wow, was it ever fun to find this challenge from Art Impressions on Paper Playful today. I got this AI stampset on sale after Christmas last year. I love their old ladies, since I find myself in that category and I find the humor in them and understand them entirely. I colored my image with copucs and Spectrum pens and made use of some glittery paper on my after the Christmas sales last year. It's been fun pulling out all these great buys and having such fun creating with them all this year. You can find the challenge HERE.

CCEE1644

/Frances is our hostess this month for our CCEE challenges.

The 2nd of November was Wobbly Wednesday, this day is to bring awareness to a condition called Nystagmus, a non-stop and uncontrolled movement of the eyes, symptomatic of problems with the visual system of the brain and body.

Let's take a look at what the Design Team came up with this week. over on the CCEEblog site. ..

Paper Players Challenge 319 Christmas tic-tac-toe

This is for the Paper Players Challenge #319 which was a tictactoe game. Here's the choices:

I did the red, glitter, and snowflakes row!! I used glittered paper, red cardstock, and a Martha Stewart snowflake punch. I added dimensions to the backs of the snowflakes and a red rhinestone to the middle. Stamped the sentiment and not sure of the source of it.  This was a quick and simple card that can quickly made any number needed. I like this glitter paper because it does not come off and get all over everything.

R is for recipe Christmas card

My sister introduced me to Paper Playful a wonderful place to find all the weekly stamping challenges. I love doing challenges because it does my thinking for me. It sets some of the criteria for the card, so that takes away some of the choices one needs to make when creating a card. That makes me a much quicker stamper and cardmaker. This challenge was to use 3 of the choices on the recipe. I used a Sassy Cheryl digital design, I used a die for the frame and for the pine needle, and I used silver ribbon. I colored my image with copic markers.  And the best part of this is I have made another Christmas card for my stash. I am going to be ready to just address Christmas cards this year. I make every card an individual design because I hate doing repeats. That means everyone on my cardlist gets their own exclusive design. LOL.

Thanks for letting me join in on this challenge. I love that I discovered some new sites that I did not know about. Thanks, Paper Playful for providing this information. I will be visiting you daily from now on!!!

C4C360

This was a fun challenge today for Crazy For Challenges #360. I used the letter L for Liz and my image is a long lady with paper punched lace. I was looking for my lizard in my collection but came across this image first and I still haven't located the lizard.  The paper punch border is from Martha Stewart and the image is from Hampton Arts.

CCEE1643 Recipe card

This week Joanne is haveing us doing a ‘recipe’ card. You must use circular and square elements, flower(s), dry embossing, and bling of some sort.

I used a Power Poppy digital image for my flowers. I like the fact that you can make the image to be any size you would like it to be for a card.  I colored it with copic markers. I embossed the card base, which is a square. I had this doily I had made with my Martha Stewart circular punch. I added some bling in between the leaf pattern. . Joanne hit my favorites for this card. I love embossing, florals, and a little bling is always the perfect embellishment.

Please visit the CCEEblog site to see all the lovely creations of the others on the team.

CCEE1642 One layered card

This week Joanne has a double challenge for us. First, you must make a true one-layer card….nothing popped up or embellished. Second, your card must have a Halloween or Thanksgiving theme.

I sponged the moon using the negative side of a diecut circle. I stamped the bats with a great stamp I bought out of the bargain bin at Michael's last year. I painted in the night sky with watered down ink.
The sentiment is from an old retired Stampin' Up set.

CCEE1641 World sight day

Joanne is back today with another fun challenge for us all!

Today is World Sight Day. Include glasses, eye charts, or a sentiment related to one’s sight on your card today.

Let's take a look what the Design Team created for this challenge ..over at the CCEEStampers blog

I am not sure of the sources of the stamps I used today, but had fun putting some together that were not part of the same set.

CFC158

It is October and breast awareness month. The challenge over at Cas-ual Friday Challenge is this:

So I used the hope sentiment 8 times on the card, and used this dress image from the "Fight Like a Girl" set offered a few years back from Flourishes. I have many friends who have survived their bouts with breast cancer, and lost a few friends who didn't. I pray great stride continue to be made in combating this disease; 1 in 8 is too great of a ratio for this horrible desease.

CCEE1640 Get Well

Joann is our hostess this month and in honor of Physician's Assistant's Day (Oct 6th), she is asking us to make a Get Well Card. Our sweet Joann is recovering from surgery herself, and I also have a sweet friend who got pitched from her horse and is recovering from a broken pelvic. I know both of them have probably tried to make humor their best medicine, so hope this little card puts a smile on their faces, as I wish them forward in their quick re-coveries. This stamp is by Artistic Obsessions, and although it was a male on the stamp, I had to turn into a female for my friends. Sorry!!! That is probably against some kind of copyright laws, but ....

Please join us in the challenge by adding your card as an attachment on your comments, or if you load it over on SCS, please use CCEE1640 as you keyword.  Check out all the wonderful other team members; cards over at  www.cceestampers.blogspot;com

MOJO468 and TLC606

Sometimes I can roll two challenges into one, and today was my lucky day. I used the bandana technique for the TLC606 Challenge over on SCS, and this sketch that is being done this week on the Mojo Monday challenge:
All the stamps I used were from Verve. The burgandy organdy ribbon appeared to be a better match in real life than it does in the photo. Happy Monday, everyone!

JUGS363 Leaves

This weekend we are finally getting a feeling of fall in the air. Love the colors of fall leaves, so added them to my card for the JUGS 363 challenge today.

CCEE1639 Christmas or winter card

This was Lois' final challenge for us this month: make a Christmas or winter card.
I am always happy to get to make a Christmas card early ahead of the rush. December gets so busy and too much that needs to be done, so there's less time to get those creative juices flowing. I had a good time with this one. I used a new die I had bought at a convention and found these two little mini candy canes in my stash of embellishments, so thought they looked rather cute on the card.

Please check over on the CCEEstampers blog site for other cards made by members of the team.
If you choose to play along, use the CCEE1639 as your keyword over on SCS or add it as an attachment to you comments on the CCEE blog site here.

MOJO467

It's been a while since I have taken part in a Mojo Challenge card, so this sketch today looked like a great one to do:

I used Verve stamps, Chromatix markers, and so a double sided design paper for parts of it.

Mod Squad Challenge for the week and C4C355

The challenge for Mod Squad was to have a splat on your card. This yellow splat was to be a sunflower in my mental picture of this, but after it turned out looking like a splat, I left it as such. The stamps are from Kitchen Sink Stamps and multi-layering is a real challenge for me. But I have to say that the MISTI sure makes it easier.  You can find this challenge on the Mod Squad Blog.  I love fall colors.

Since it is a birthday card for a friend, it also works for the C4C355 challenge this week.

Paper Players Challenge 313

I made this card for this week's challenge over on Paper Players:

I used an old set from Stampin' Up that I have had for years, but still love for the fall season.
I masked off the section for the sentiment and used a variety of colors of inks for the leaves.
Fall is my favorite season, mainly for the cooler weather, and the beautiful colors.  The sentiment is from Layers of Color. I love using scriptures from the Bible on my cards as much as possible. as most of my cards I give to the Care Team at my church to send to those members who are needing prayers and extra care during times of trials or tribulations.

CCEE1638

This week Lois is  asking us to Follow the List.  Include on your card:
One (1) animal
Two (2) layers
Three (3) colors (plus neutrals -- black, white, gray -- if you wish)
38
I used orange, green, and red for my three colors. For the background I inked up my embossing folder and spritzed it with water and smashed my paper in between. Then I stenciled the flowers in by using the negative side from scraps left over from a punch. I added rhinestones just to add festiveness to the card. I am a Leo so I love lions.

Please check by the CCEEstampers blogsite to see the team's creations for this challenge. Join in the fun if you like and if you add to CSC, please use CCEE1638 as your keyword. You can attach your card to your comment if you like over at the CCEEstampers' blog HERE.

Little Red Wagon 360

Browsing around for a challenge to do, I found the Little Red Wagon challenge this week was themed SCHOOL RULES. Here's what I came up with. This is a digital stamp from Sassy Cheryl designs.
I used Copic markers to color the image and loved the red and white gingham with this. I even had some little covered button brads in my stash that matched.

JUGS361 color week challenge

Here's my card for this fun challenge this week over at Just Us Girls.

I used a Sizzix die to cut this and the sentiment is from Stampin' Up.

C4C354

I made this card for the sketch that is the challenge over at C4C354. The image is a Power Poppy digital image. This also demonstrates the versatility of a digital stamp, because I was able to digitally insert the circle and place the camellias behind it. My dilema then was the little tag that was to be the sentiment and since I put the sentiment in the circle I needed to come up with a different idea. So I found this rhinestone cross in my stash and decided it would have to represent the tag.  I used my Chromatix pens to do my coloring and loved this piece of plaid design paper for my background.

CFC156

This is for the CFC156 challenge to use dimensions and bling.  Since it is filled with swirls I will also add this to the F4A343 challenge on Splitcoaststampers. The best part is that it gives me another Christmas card in my stash.
