CCEE1902 Happy Birthday, Elvis!

Hi Crafty Friends!

It's challenge time again here at CCEE Stampers and Liz is back with another fun challenge for us all.

Happy Birthday, Elvis!! Liz is challenging us to make him come alive in some way on our cards this week.( Maybe a rock and roll theme, records, an Elvis or guitar stamp, or perhaps even “Blue Suede shoes.”) Anyway you can think to let the world know “the King” of rock and roll.

Our team has outdone themselves this week with their tributes to Elvis, so please check them out over at the blogsite by clicking HERE

It is not showing up in the photograph, but on the neck of the guitar it says, "Elvis Presley."
In my preteen and teenage years, I did not miss a one of Elvis' movies on the big screen.
I was a huge fan. It is hard to believe that he would be 84 if he were alive today.  Everyone back in the day had at least one Elvis album, so I tucked this record I made from circles into this sleeve on my card. I wrote "Love me Tender" on it, as it was one of  my favorites.

Thanks for the fun challenge so I could pull out a couple of my Elvis stamps. Love the "Elvis Presley" Guitar and the record.

I thought I was in trouble again when I saw that Elvis was the theme! Luckily I found some free clip art that worked for me!!

I love this wonderful design with your vinyl record. I guess we know who this is going to. That background paper is awesome for the Elvis birthday challenge!

I too was a big Elvis fan. I remember the first time I ever saw him -- it was the Dorsey Brothers (Tommy and Jimmy) TV Show in January of 1956. I was mesmerized, probably like every teen-age girl in the country! Love your card!

I think I go back even further than Lois! I remember Ed Sullivan introducing Elvis on his show! (Guess I'm older than dirt!) The record addition was genius! Love it!
