Mod Squad challenge - no white or ivory
I made this card for the Mod Squad challenge this week that requires one to NOT use white or ivory on their card. So, I did not even use white paper for the poinsettia. I stamped it on red paper, then I paper pieced the leaves from the green paper. I added copic marker highlights to the flower and the leaves. Rhinestones were used for the center of the poinsettia. I used a black card base, and found the green and glittery card stock in my scrap piles. Then I realized I used this same stamp for my challenge card last week. But it was on a white background. So I got just as much of a pop on the black background. The silver glitter added a little pazzaz.

Mod Squad Fall Fest challenge
Fall is my favorite season of the year. The lovely colors of fall are my favorites and I welcome the cooler air. I made this card for the fall fest challenge over at MOD SQUAD CHALLENGE. I used a mixture of my oxide distress inks on white and then stamped the leaves (Flourishes), which I think was designed by Marcella Hawley years ago before she started Power Poppy. I have always been a big fan of her fabulous artwork. I also embossed the torn panel with an inked Darice embossing folder. The smaller leaves are a Martha Stewart punch, and the sentiment is from Stampabilities.

Another MSC Make a Square
I just had to do another Power Poppy card for the Make a Square challenge over on Mod Squad this week. I love this digital of the dogwood and I am always in need of cards with this sentiment for my Care Team obigations at my church. You can find the challenge here.

Mod Squad challenge = Spark it up!
What a fun challenge for this week on Mod Squad this week! I love anything with a sparkle to it!!
I made use of 3 sparkly papers from my scrap pile for my background, and then I stamped these Unity images and cut with dies. I colored the image with my copic markers. I sponged the sentiment oval with purple distress ink. I think this will be a perfect birthday card for any of my winedrinking friends.

In the pink challenge and Mod Squad Challenge
There is nothing more fun than using some new tools and finding an exciting challenge that motivates some ideas. I made this card for the Mod Squad challenge to make a birthday card. I also am trying a new challenge blog that I have not done before: In the pink and the challenge was to use embossing and of course lots of pink.
For the embossing, I inked the embossing folder with my lipstick pink oxice distress ink and then sent it through my Cuttlebug. I stamped my Unity stamp and colored the birthday girl with copic markers and paper pieced her outfit. I fussy cut it out, then made a birthday tag to add. I mounted it on pink paper as the card base.

Mod Squad Paper Piecing challenge
Paper Piecing is one of my all time favorite techniques and I find it so fun to piece the cool outfit for this pretty lady from Unity Stamps. While checking out the weekly challenge for Mod Squad, I was so happy to see it is paper piecing. It was fun finding some woodgrain for the guitar even. You can check out this week's challenge over at Mod Squad Challenge.

Mod Squad challenge - Ribbons, Ribbons! Who's got the ribbon?
I decided to take on Judy and Vicki's challenge to use Ribbon on a card this week. I was excited to see Power Poppy being one of the sponsors this week. So, I printed out this Power Poppy holly digital I have on my computer. I have grown to love using digitals mainly having the advantage of sizing it to be whatever you need. I colored the image with copic markers and added a stamped senitment. I decided to add the ribbon a little differently into the design of the card. I am a huge fan of Marcella Hawley's artwork and have always enjoyed using her images on my cards.
Check out the details of this challenge over at the Mod Squad blogsite.

Mod Squad challenge - Foliage
This card is for the Mod Squad Challenge this week. The theme is foliage. I hunted out one of my old favorite Stampin' Up stamp sets to use for this challenge. I used all my fall colors of ink from SU and from Memento. The diecut is one of my finds( from the Stamps of Life) at the scrapbook convention I went to last Friday. I added the red ribbon to bring out the reds a little bit.
