For this scripture that is selected for the scripture over at Word Art Wednesday this week, I had to hunt through my angel collection but I found this beautiful one from Layers of Color. There are angels among us and seldom are the invisible. All of us have been touched in some way or another by these saints and servants of the Lord. 

SOS Challenge 85

Always into a challenge that can help deplete the stash in my craft room. The theme was to use two t's on the card. So, I guess I went a little overboard. I used tan, turquoise, texture, torn paper, and treble clefs on my card. The primas were dug out of my stash as was the jeweled brad for the flower center. The stamps are from Layers of Color, a set I have had for a while.

Into day 4 of the Hope You Can Cling To challenges. Today, we were to use strips. So I used 3 strips in the background. I love this butterfly from Layers of Color and the "hope" is from Our Daily Bread Designs. This design paper from My Mind's Eye generated the color scheme for this card.

COF August Challenge

The challenge was to make a monochromatic card using the color of your birthstone as the color. My birthday is in August and is the peridot. So I used various shades of yellowish green for my card.  Hope you will go by and check out all the beautiful cards of my Christian sisters:

Today's challenge on Stampin' Sisters in Christ is to use a diecut, punches, or shapes. I used a Spellbinder label diecut and I cut my Paper Trey Ink flower to the shape of the image. The design paper I used is from Basic Grey. I also let this be my Free for All challenge card to use lots of color. This sentiment is from Layers of Color. These are encouraging words and I think bright colors encourage our spirits to be lifted as well. Hope you are having a blessed Sabbath.

This card is made for the Word Art Wednesday challenge #22. I used this scripture that was posted on their site from Psalm 18:2.  I used some design paper from Basic Grey and a Sizzix diecut, some Spellbinder diecuts, and the cross is from Layers of Color. 

Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge #61

I know it's a perfect Sunday when I get to take part in the Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge for the week. I love these crosses that are a part of a set from Layers of Color. I noticed they had donated a wonderful set for this week. So, I was motivated to use this LOC set. The design paper is from the Capella collect by Basic Grey and the card base is always artichoke. The sentiment set is from Stampabilities.

Prayer is a powerful gift. I will soon be a part of a ministry team going into a Women's Prison unit here in Texas and I am busy putting together a prayer chain that will be a part of the weekend. These 30 women who will take part in this weekend are always brought to tears when they see these prayer chains. Each link represents some person who is praying for them for the weekend. If you would like me to add you to the prayer chain, leave your first name and city in the comments and the date you would like to pray. The dates are Oct. 28th through Oct. 31.  I will be blessed to add you to it. These prayers are a powerful part of these incredible God-filled weekends and I was so touched by Lisa's message on Stampin' Sisters in Christ blog about prayer. Stampin' Sisters in Christ #56

I made this card for the Stampin' Sisters in Christ #56. The challenge was to use faux stitching. The crosses are from Layers of Color. I used real red, kraft, basic black, and striped design paper.

I colored the image with copic markers and added a sparkly brad.

Color Throw Down Challenge #70

The colors for the Color Throwdown Challenge this week were dusty durango, old olive, and elegant eggplant. I couldn't find a piece of dusty durango in my papers, but of course, I had the ink. So, I just stamped a houndstooth background to give me the color I needed. The cross is from Layers of Colors' Gothic Cross collection and the scripture is from Sweet and Sassy. The two background stamps used are from Stampin' Up. I used this wonderful green leafy ribbon up the side and added purple primas.
An easy layout, great colors, and a quick card. Just what I needed on this very busy day before Thanksgiving. Wishing all my followers a very Happy Thanksgiving, safe travels, and a blessed day with loved ones!!!!
