Trying out my new digi
I was inspired by a beautiful card made by a stamper I admire so much over on SCS, Linda Paider. She used this new digital from Power Poppy, and the nice thing about digitals is that you can purchase it and have it the same day. Can't beat that, right? So looked to see what challenges this card might be suitable for and decided on these two: Cute Card Thursday and Double D Challenge.
I colored this image with my chromatix markers. I embossed the two front pieces with a Sizzix folder. I also embossing the pink mat for the image.

Easter cross
This week I play\n to make cards with my entire cross stamp collection. I decided this would be a way to share my great love for my Lord and the amazing thing He did going to the cross to die for my sins. Be sure to come by all week to see what I have posted. I hope you are reminded of God's great love for you every time you see a cross. These azaleas are from the new Power Poppy Azalea set that just became available this month. My azaleas in my yard are about bloomed out, but I think these will help me enjoy azaleas all year long. I colored them with copic makers. The cross is embossed with a Darice embossing folder and the background doily is a Spellbinder diecut.

CAS on Sunday
The challenge over at CAS on Sunday is to make a one layer card. I love making one layer cards and did a little masking with this one. Also decided it was time to start getting some of those Easter cards rolled out.
I added a few scoring lines just to add a little bit to the design of the card. This little chick stamp I found in the $1 bin at Michael's last spring. It was just too cute and the price was too good to pass up. I used some leaves from an old retired Stampin' Up set for the leaves and a sentiment stamp from Printworks.

Wednesday's cross
I made this to send to my brother in law and SIL for Easter. She loves this shade of blue and I embossed the cross with white MS embossing powder. I dry embossed the white cardstock and added the punched Martha Stewart punch. This cross is by Judi Kins and the sentiment is from Our Daily Bread Designs.
Hope you are reflecting this Holy Week on just how much Christ's death and Resurrection has changed your life. .

Make My Monday
The challenge over at Make My Monday today was to make a monochromatic card. I am cranking out Easter cards today in my stamproom, so I made it fit the theme for today. I embossed the white cardstock, rub a soft sky ink pad over it, stamped the silhouette image (a $1 stamp from Michael's) in soft sky ink, and then I stamped over it with the sentiment from Sweet and Sassy with tuxedo black ink. Added a little scrap of soft sky cardstock behind it, popped it up with dimensionals, and added the seam binding bow. A 10 minute card with an elegant look.

SS12
This is for the Sisterhood Sunday challenge which was a sketch challenge this week. This is another wonderful stamp I purchased from Rubbernecker years ago, but it never seems to lose its cuteness. It is a full basket of chicks, but I cut it in half so it would fit my space for this card. The design papers are from Basic Grey, the card base is pear pizzaz by Stampin' Up. The flower punch is from Martha Stewart.

I was so excited to learn how to use my "00"
copic marker this week on Beate's tutorial on Splitcoaststampers. This is another of the cute images you can find at Digital Stamp Oasis. I used my "00" copic to get the speckled look on Rebecca Rabbit. I also used my copic markers to color these white primas to be the color I needed to coordinate with my papers for this card. I used SU's baja breeze and certainly celery for this card and a piece of Paper Studio design paper (Cool Small Flowers). The leaves are punched with one of my favorite Martha Stewart paper punches.
Digital Stamp Oasis
How excited I was to discover the email from Ellie letting me know I would get to serve on her design team for these adorable digital images. I thought this Rebecca Rabbit image is so perfect for Easter. I put it together with some Basic Grey design paper and this pretty pastel blue cardstock from Paper Trey.
