Faith Based Blog Group Challenge
I have spent the most incredible 4 days of my life, helping lead music with 2 other fabulous sisters in the Lord for Houston West Emmaus Community's Women's walk #66 with wonderful spirtual leaders and a team of fabulous Christian women who gave their all. It was so spirit filled and I now have 35 new sisters in Christ, who I loved on, laughed with, prayed over, and shared my faith with. God is so good. The Lord is indeed the light of the world for me,so this scripture is one of my favorites. I am late getting this made and posted by a few days, but I know you will show your mercy because I have been about doing the Lord's work. It has to be my first priority, of course. Bask in the light of the Lord and reflect on all He has done for you this Holy Week.

Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #12

Sometimes it is just good to get back to the basics of what rubberstamping really is --- ink on paper. We have gotten so caught up in the whole paper industry and feel like we have to have every new thing that comes out there. Believe me, I am guilty as charged. But today, Jeanne challenged us on Splitcoaststampers to do a one layer card to un-layer ourselves for the summer. This is the card I did. It only took me about 15 minutes from cutting the paper, to finding the stamps, and actually doing the stamping. In doing it I was reminded once again just how beautiful the basic craft of rubberstamping can be without all the layers, without all the design papers, and without fancy embellishments. These are the kinds of stamps that Stampin' Up use to produce. And quite frankly, I miss them. You see I couldn't part with these, but then I never bought a rubberstamp I didn't love. So, show those old stamps the love you still have for them. I challenge you get out an old stamp that you haven't used in a while! Have some fun this summer, stampin' and relaxin'.

Rubber Stamp Tapestry set

This weekend there is a Virtual Stamp Night going. I didn't play last night but am trying to play catchup today. One of the challenges was to make a card that would best represent your obsession! I knew it was time to pull that fabulous Stella Stamper off the shelf where she was getting dusty. There comes a time when she is just the best stamp to use to express how you feel about stamping. I had to add the scraps of ribbon because ribbon, markers, paper, inkpads, stamps, embellishments---it's all just part of the obsession. I really do TRY to be organized with my supplies so I can find them when I need them, but somehow the room doesn't give one the impression that I am. You know that verse in the Bible that speaks of beauty from ashes, well, in this room it is more like beauty from junk piles!!! LOL Go to Splitcoaststampers and join in on the fun.

I am so technically challenged!!! I have a great camera and a new computer, and it had everything I needed to be cropping and fixing these pictures. I finally figured it out. Hope this improves things in the gallery for me. I made this card for the featured stamper challenger on SCS. The feature stamper this week is Becca Feeken and you must check out her fabulous creations there.
