SSIC161 and TLC399

Did a little acrylic block printing for the TLC challenge and added trees for the SSIC challenge this week. The trees are from that SU classic, Lovely As Trees and the sentiment is from Verve.
I just love the colors of fall and the cooler weather (when we get it). 85 seems  to the the norm around here for some reason.

Time for my favorite season of the year. Love the colors, the cooler air, and all the fun that comes in those fall months.  I colored this image with my copic markers. The scripture stamp is from Verve. The pumpkin is from Recollection.

SSIC134

Today's challenge on Stampin' Sisters in Christ is to use a diecut, punches, or shapes. I used a Spellbinder label diecut and I cut my Paper Trey Ink flower to the shape of the image. The design paper I used is from Basic Grey. I also let this be my Free for All challenge card to use lots of color. This sentiment is from Layers of Color. These are encouraging words and I think bright colors encourage our spirits to be lifted as well. Hope you are having a blessed Sabbath.

SSIC153

This week's challenge was to use sentiment only without stamping an image. I used this pretty sentiment from ODBD. I punched one edge with a Martha Stewart punch and added diecuts and primas that I sponged with darker brown.I like these shades of green and browns together.

SSIC146

The challenge for Stampin' Sisters in Christ is to use something new. This is a new set of stamps that I won from Flourishes. It is just gorgeous. My mother in law's 90th birthday is coming up, so I made it in some of her favorite colors. To get my ribbon to match, I used my copic markers to make it the color I wanted.
I used by Becca Bow Maker to come up with this fabulous bow.

SSIC145

I loved this video from Chris Tomlin, one of my favorite of contemporary Christian artists. Thanks for sharing it today on Stampin' Sisters in Christ blog. These little banners are from PTI, the background stamps are both old retired sets from Stampin' Up, and I free handed the lettering on the other diecut banner. I added the rhinestone hearts to the banner. The inks I used were Sahara Sand and Sage Shadow. This week's challenge was to use flags or banners on your card for Stampin' sisters in Christ.

SSIC#136

The challenge for Stampin' Sisters in Christ this week is to use pastel colors. I just got this new set from Flourishes and thought it perfect for this challenge. I embossed the blush card base, punched the white with a Martha Stewart  punch on both sides of the panel. The images are colored with copic markers.  I embellished it with pearls.

Stampin Sisters in Christ #135

The challenge for the Stampin' Sisters in Christ challenge today was to use something transparent.
I used vellum for the flower and the background. I embossed the vellum for the background. I stamped the vellum for the flower and diecut it with my spellbinder set. The stamp for the flowers is the Sweet Williams set from Our Daily Bread Designs. I also used a clear button for the center of the flower.

SSIC134

The theme for today's challenge for Stamping Sisters in Christ was to make a joyful card. This scripture from Neb. 8:10 is one of my favorites that speak of JOY. I used a variety of stamps from different companies on this card. The flourish stamp is from Stampin' Up, the cross from Sweet and Sassy and the scripture stamp is from Stampabilities. The pink flowers are punched using a Creative Memories mini flower punch. The cross embellishment on the stamped cross and rhinestones were added.

Stampin' Sisters in Christ 124

I always love doing the Sunday challenge over at Stampin' Sisters in Christ. This week
Lovely Linda wants us to share our true style. Well, I love using punches and diecuts, I love taffeta ribbon, I love Basic Grey papers, I love the lyrics of this song, and I love sharing Christ's love in my crafting. This image is from Our Dail Bread Designs. I stamped the image in Tuxedo black and colored it with my copic markers, which is my favorite coloring tool.

SSIC120

The challenge was to do a card that told the real story of Christmas. I loved this new stamp I bought at Archievers recently. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up. I added some glittered paper and foil paper to give it that royal look and I love the rich textures and patterns on the wisemen's robes.  I've about completed my cards for this Christmas season. It is my hope that we are all still seeking Christ and that He is an ever present part of our lives not only at Christmas but everyday of our lives. Christmas blessings and Peace on earth.

Stampin' Sisters in Christ 119

The challenge on Stampin' Sisters in Christ was to make a birthday card. I have a friend in Colorado who is celebrating a birthday on Tuesday. As you can see, it's not even in the mail yet. The inside has a slot to place a gift card that I will enclose. I hope she gets it by the end of the week. I think I will write on the inside: When life gives you too many candles, pop popcorn!!!  The papers are from Stampin' Up and Basic Grey.

Stampin' Sisters in Christ

This week's challenge over on Stampin' Sisters in Christ was to use an angel. I loved this sweet little simple angel from Recollections. I added a sentiment from Stampin' Up and added a gold glittered puffy sticker star. The white background was embossed with a Paper Studio embossing folder, and the design paper is a scrap of Paper Studio dp. I used copics to color the facial details.

Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge #113

This week's challenge was to use fall colors. I used this pretty set from Verve to stamp onto white paper. The scripture stamp is from Verve as well. In the part of Texas I live in, we are finally getting some cooler weather. Fall is my favorite season because of the richness of the colors of the foliage and the beautiful fall sunsets.

Stampin' Sisters in Christ #105

These are some quiet colors for the challenge over on Stampin' Sisters in Christ. This camellia is from Mark's Finest Papers and the leaf is a spellbinder diecut. The striped design paper is a scrap from Stampin' Up that I found in my scrap pile. I embellished it with pearls and ribbon.  I kept the design of the card simple and straight cut to go with the quiet and simplistic look I wanted to accomplish with this card. The colors are river rock from SU, light yellow cardstock is from MFP, and I used ivory for the leaves.

Stampin' Sisters in Christ

This is for Challenge #101 over at Stampin' Sisters in Christ today. I bought 3 or 4 packages of these cross brads and have been pretty stingy in using them. Do I do the same thing with my faith and the truths I know to be true? Do I keep it to myself instead of sharing it with others? Another thing I do is keep little left over pieces of ribbon. They are just too pretty to throw away. So today I am going to share some truths I know. file://we/ are much like these little remnants of ribbon to God. We are too beautiful to Him to not see our usefulness in His Kingdom. So He weaves us together not only to make us even more beautiful as a body together, but to make us more united and stronger. And in the awe of His glory and the great things He has done with us, for us, and through us, we still honor Him as our God, our creator, our all in all. Have a blessed Sabbath, renew your spirit, and refresh yourself for a new week.

Stampin' Sisters in Christ #84

I had to use a cross for this challenge because of the Mark 15:17 scripture used this week:
THEY PUT A PURPLE ROBE ON HIM, TWISTED A
CROWN OF THORNS,
AND SET IT ON HIM.
The cross is from Inkadinkado, and the quote is from Our Daily Bread.  The cross is embossed in gold, and the quote is stamped in Tuxedo black ink. The embossing folder is from Sizzix. The paper punch is from EK.
I added a rhinestone cross to the middle of the cross. The purple card stock is the prettiest purple in my opinion on the market. It is from Mark's Finest Papers and is called Grandmother's Favorite Purple.
You won't want to miss Kris' devotional today over on Stampin' Sisters in Christ's blog. It is so perfect for the Lenten season.

Stampin' Sisters in Christ #78

Scripture: Psalm 9:10 "Those who know your name will trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you."

The challenge this week on Stampin' Sisters in Christ was to use 3 buttons. I used three shank buttons on mine. I also used 3 different patterns of desigm papers I found around as scraps on my working table. The stamped image is from Inkadinkado. I stamped it in Versamark ink and embossed it with gold embossing powder.  All of it is glued onto a basic black card base.
