"
Barb's challenge for us:
June is Dairy Month in Wisconsin. I remember when I was growing up there were
dairy breakfasts at farms in our area and my 4-H club had a pie and ice cream
social every June. Now--I am not sure that everyone has a dairy themed image.
But--if you have something farm related--cow, chickens, ducks, barns, fields,
etc. or dairy products related--ice cream, cheese, milk, eggs, cream puffs (the
Wisconsin State Fair favorite!), or use your own imagination to honor the dairy
farmer. Do you have some farm related DSP or an embossing folder? Chicken wire,
barbed wire, farm animals, etc.--please be sure to use that."
I made use of some of my newest Graphic 45 paper. I have had this rooster for quite some time in my collection, which I use for all my Emmaus agape items I love to make. "De Colores" is one of the main songs used on an Emmaus weekend, and in the lyrics it sings about the rooster, the hen, and the baby chicks. I've tried to capture a French Country look in the choice of my colors and the sunflower.

COF end of month challenge
NOVEMBER CHALLENGE!
"For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." Isaiah 9:6
Hello, Crafty sisters! Can you believe the holidays are here? I LOVE this time of year! Peppermint Mocha Lattes, twinkling lights, Hallmark Christmas movies...every good and perfect gift pointing to our Savior. My favorite part of the season? Christmas carols. I LOVE Christmas music, and I have so many CDs that I have to start listening to them in October just to fit them all in! LOL I have a few favorites that make it into heavy rotation (Amy Grant, Kathy Mattea, Point of Grace, Sara Groves), and others that are strictly instrumental and fill the house with the ambient sounds of the season (Jim Brickman, Windham Hill's Celtic Christmas, and more). This month's challenge: Make a card based on one of your favorite Christmas songs or carols. (The Bible verse I chose is often associated with Handel's Messiah, another favorite!) Make sure your card has a little twinkle to represent the light of the world. Bonus points to anyone who includes kraft and gingham in their design (just because I LOVE kraft and gingham!)
So there's your challenge! Plug in that Christmas music and get inspired! I'm even learning some Christmas carols to play on my dulcimer.
Peace and Joy to you!

My Christmas song is "We Three Kings". The chorus sings of the "star of wonder, star of night, star with royal beauty bright...." I used a rhinestoned cross in the center of the star to show how Christ would be the world's salvation. and be the light of the world. As we enter this Advent season, may the true love of Christ dwell in your heart and may you have many opportunities to show His peace and love to all you encounter in the season.

COF April Challenge
I'm a little late with this card, and not even for sure what the challenge is, but I think it is a Mother's Day card that is a 5 x 7 card. I used some great Basic Grey design paper on this peach colored cardstock, and stamped some images from Paper Trey Ink. The images stamped in Tuxedo black ink and colored with copic markers. The sentiment is from Flourishes. The diecut is from Spellbinders. I stamped an envelop to match.
