SC708 and Back to Basics &Beyond #8
I love the elegant look that embossing adds to a card. This was for the Sketch Challenge on Splitcoaststampers today and also for the Back to Basic &Beyond challenge today to use embossing on my card. You can find that challenge HERE
I used versafine black for the flower image and the scripture. I used distress oxide inks for the leaves and sponging on the flower. The scripture stamp is from Rubbernecker, the flower and leaves are from some retired sets from Stampin' Up. I used gold liquid pearls for the flower center.

Rubbernecker challenge #36
A great patriotic theme is going on over on the Rubbernecker Blog challenge for the next 2 weeks. I love this tuba stamp I got from Rubbernecker Stamps a few months ago. I have a son who played a tuba, so I just had to have this stamp. The sentiment I used for this card is from Sweet and Sassy.

RNC #33 - Embossing
Embossing is one of my favorite techniques, and I love inking the inside of an embossing folder with oxide ink, spritzing it with water, and then running through my embossing machine. The sentiment and the butterfly stamp is from Rubbernecker. I added a diecut tag and punched flowers and leaves.
Find the challenge HERE.

Rubbernecker Challenge #26
The wreath and the sentiment are two stamps from Rubbernecker that worked really well for this challenge. I am so thrilled to have won the challenges a few times to select these as my selection of stamps. I added paper punched pink hearts to make this wreath look more like Valentines day decoations. I doodled the strings and bow with a black finepoint sharpie. I added a few tiny rhinestones around the wreath to jazz it up a bit. Rubberneckers Challenges have become one of my favorite to take part in each week and with prizes as incentives, it motivates me even more. The challenges change every 2 weeks. You can find this week's challenge HERE..

Rubbernecker challenge #25 Grunge
I used this scripture stamp from Rubbernecker Stamps for this grunge Valentine. I had fun scrunching paper, distressing edges, tearing paper, and inking edging and stamping spots to add that grunge look to my card. I also am using up scraps of design papers from my bags of color coded pieces. You can find the Rubbernecker challenge HERE.

Christmas and Sparkle - Rubbernecker challenge #23
I have a son who played a tuba so when I found this tuba from Rubbernecker, I just had to have it. I decided I would make it Christmas-like and sparkly for this challenge and put in yet one more card for the challenge uploads. I tried using silver metallic pens for coloring it, but ended up just using some of my gray copic markers. You can see the details of the challenge and the entries HERE.

Rubberneck Christmas and sparkle challenge #23
This stamp from Rubbernecker was one of the choices I made recently when I won second place on the challenge a few months ago. I used oxide distress ink first, then I used platinum momento and put gold embossing powder on the second layer. I stamped red berries and then added red rhinestones just to add a little more sparkle. I found this red and white striped ribbon in my stash, so used it for my bow. The gold trim is acutually sticker strips. This is Rubberneckers' final challenge for the year, so you might want to check it out here.

Sisterhood Sunday Challenge 11
This is the first stamp I ever ordered from Rubbernecker stamps. It has always been one of my favorites. Loved using greens on this. I went through my whole array of green copic markers to find just the right look for this card. I was so excited last week to find that I had won a stamp. Gotta go do some shopping to find another great Rubbernecker stamp. They have such a great design team over there and I love that they have added all these fun events during the stamping week. Keep it up, gals, right now you are a hidden pearl in the land of challenges, but I love what you are doing. Here is where you will find this awesome challenge. After checking out the Stampin' sisters in Christ challenge 127, this card fits those requirements as well. I'm not real big on combining challenges because I always love every opportunity to make a new card. But today I thought combining these two sister groups was a good idea!

Stampin' Sisterhood
It's Sunday and my idea of relaxing on Sunday includes some time in my stamp room. I am also working hard on Valentines this week, so I made this sketch challenge over on Stampin' Sisterhood's Sunday challenge a good one to try. Here's what I came up with and I wanted to use my new stamp I received a couple of weeks ago from Rubbernecker because I won the challenge drawing a couple of weeks ago. I had been eyeing this medallion stamp for a long time over there and so I knew just which one to pick when given a choice. It's always fun to win something!!! I added a heart stamp from Stampin' Up and a scripture stamp from Stampabilities. I cuttlebugged the card base with a cuttlebug folder. Added some grandy ribbon and some pearls. Quick and easy Valentine!
