Paper Players 224

I've checked out all the challenges out there to find Christmas challenges that would motivate me to get a few more cards made tonight. I found that Paper Players has a great bingo challenge going this week. I am using white, glitter, and snowflakes. This was a fun card making use of the negative piece of a punched scrap. I put glittered paper behind it and let some of that paper peek out from the bottom.

Woke up early this morning to the coldest day we have had this season. Guess that's why I grabbed up this snowman, huh?? Course, I live on the Texas Gulf Coast, so snow is not what our cold usually offers. It's usually cold and damp. Course, with our summer droughts this year, I guess I need to embrace whatever damp we get. This card was made for the sketch challenge today on Splitcoaststampers, my favorite place to go every day of the week. Their challenges offer me my MOJO of inspiration and so I have been a faithful member for over 7 years now. I can't seem to get motivated to get tree trimmed or my cards in the mail yet, but I am having a heck of a lot of fun creating. Christmas Stampin' All Year Long

I have to admit, this is the first Christmas card I have made for this Christmas season. Christmas Stampin' All Year Long's Challenge this week motivated me because it was to make a funny card. I am from South Texas and in all of my 60 years, I have only seen one white Christmas. So, this sentiment is similar to a card I found in Galveston one time that said, "What a White Christmas? inside: Tear up this card and throw it in the air."
I didn't want someone to tear up my card, so I made it with loose white paper stapled into the inside to remove and tear up!!! I liked this idea so much, I think I will be making a few more to send to friends this Christmas.
