Rubbernecker challenge - make it old, respect the age
The current challenge over at Rubbernecker Stamp's Inspiration and Challenge Blog is to make it old, respect the age. I have this great Graphics 45 paper in my paper stash of old sports ads, and I have this "Vintage Golfer" from Stampabilities of an old golfer. Don't you just love a golfer in knickers?
I am not sure of who makes this sentiment. I forgot to label my storage box with that information.
Check out this challenge over at the Rubbernecker blog site HERE.

Vintage or Newspaper Rubbernecker challenge #13
I love this vintage image that I bought at a scrapbooking convention here in Houston a few years ago. I thought it perfect for this fun challenge. I also used oxide inks to sponge onto the edges, I stamped the image with versafine black. I had this great strip of Graphics 45 design paper to add to the mix.
Check out the challenge HERE.

Christmas Stampin' All Year Long #54
I just discovered this weekly challenge this week on Daily Dare. I've been wanting to get started on my Christmas cards, and this site seemed like my motivation. The challenge was to do a vintage Christmas card. This stamp is one of my all time favorite vintage stamps from Stampin' Up. Of course, it is now retired and wasn't even around very long either. Sure glad I couldn't pass it up. The lovely willow wind cardstock is from Mark's Finest Papers. I cuttlebugged it and used ivory for the stamped image. I did a direct to pad distressing around the edges. I stamped the image with Memento's tuxedo black and colored it with Copic markers. The punches are from Martha Stewart and the ribbon is from Paper Trey Ink.
