CCEE1424

June is the month roses are in full bloom in our gardens. I decided to not only use my favorite rose stamp from Flourishes but also my rose embossing folder. I inked the embossing folder, spritzed it with water and then put in the white paper and rubbed over the back to look like I stamped with the folder. Because the stamps I used are the cling type, I was able to do my sentiment in a curve to make it fit my space.  If you are like me, I have quite a collection of rose stamps, so pull one out and play along with us over at CCEE Stampers this week. Thanks Anne, for this wonderful challenge.

That's a lovely rose stamp! It makes me think that in real life it would surely be one of the ones with a lovely scent! I think some of the ones I see in the Botanic Gardens here are grown to look beautiful and not to smell of anything at all; I prefer the more old-fashioned varieties even if they can be more thorny and prone to disease. The embossed background is very cool looking, too. And the pearls are a lovely finishing touch to add extra style to an already lovely card.
