CCEE1822 Embossing folders

Anne's last challenge for us is to use an embossing folder. I love embossing folders and have a mass collection of them. For my card, I embossed a piece of design paper for my background using a Sizzix embossing folder. The stamps I used are from Unity stamps.  I always need birthday cards, so wanted to get a few extras made up for all the summer birthdays I will be needing cards for.

If you choice to join us, please use the CCEE1822 as your keyword on SCS. Link your card over at the CCEEstampers blogsite HERE.www.cceestampers.blogspot.com and while you are there be sure to check out all the fabulous work from the team.

It is an honor for me today to be a guest designer over at the Color Throwdown challenge. Here are the colors for this week:

Here is my card made with stamps from Stampin' Up and Flourishes. I had just recently found this design paper from Carta Bella called "Ahoy There," which I found at Tuesday Morning. Summer time has surely hit my area of the Texas gulf coast, and I am longing to get to the beach.

Be sure to visit the CDT blog to see all the wonderful creations the team has put together with these awesome colors. Link your card there to play along.

CCEE1820 from the stash

Anne is again our hostess for this week's challenge. She has asked us to dip into our paper stashes and make a card. I love buying fancy papers and I stick them away for those extra special cards. Then, too often I forget I even have it. So this week gave me reason to go through the piles. I found these two embossed shimmering white pieces that I thought I would combine on my card design. I was going to make it a wedding card, but could not find a sentiment that would fit this diecut tag, so I used this one from Stampin' Up that I think has never had ink on it. So, technically, the stamp was some of my stash that got used as well.  Hope you go over and check out the other team members cards over on the CCEEStampers blog. HERE. If you post your card on SCS be sure to use the CCEE1820 as your keyword. You can link your card over on the blogsite.

I made this card for today's Color Throwdown Challenge that can be seen HERE.
The colors were aqua, lime, and white. I had this pretty embossed pearlized paper left from a previous card, so I used it on this one. The flower stamp is from Hero Arts. I colored it with copic markers.  The sentiment is from Stampin' Up.

So honored by my card getting selected. I look forward to participating with the team next week.

RNC #33 - Embossing

Embossing is one of my favorite techniques, and I love inking the inside of an embossing folder with oxide ink, spritzing it with water, and then running through my embossing machine. The sentiment and the butterfly stamp is from Rubbernecker. I added a diecut tag and punched flowers and leaves.
Find the challenge HERE.

Just Us Girls Challenge #440 stenciling

Inspired by the Just Us Girls Challenge #440 this week to use stenciling. I love using my Oxide inks to do stenciling and sponging. I also used the negative side of  die cut leaves to stencil with also. I stamped the flower image onto the card and then stamped it on another piece of paper. I cut out the flower and open bud and glued over the stamped image
