CCEE1543

This is for this week's CCEE challenge 1543. The theme is refections and I decided to do a reflection in the ice. It doesn't show up well in the photo, but the ice is actually covered with a glassy gloss.

CCEE1542

Maryann is continuing as our hostess for the CCEEstampers this month. She asked us to use acetate. I used some acetate cut from a clear box. I ran it through my cuttlebug in an embossing folder. Then I diecut some fall leaves in fall colors and placed them under it and attached the edges, so this could be somewhat of a shaker card.

CCEE1541

Maryann is again our hostess as we continue through October. Sorry I missed the actually specifics on this challenge until after I had made this card. I was to use chocolate (every woman's favorite flavor) with a color combination of chocolate and pink, chocolate and green, or chocolate and vanilla. I actually used a metallic gold and chocolate combination. The flower I used has all of those three colors in it. I did a direct from pad ink rub of the gold pad to my embossed leaves. CCEE1540

This week Maryann has challenged us to do a card that would remind someone of a stack of children's blocks. I find any kind of card that requires measuring, folding a certain way and is 3-D to be a real challenge for me. I surprised myself with this one. I love Graphics 45 papers because of their vintage looks and decided these colors and images would fit into my scheme of things. I also had a good time going through my embellsihment stashes and finding just the right ones to add. Thosre are paper roses on the tops of some of the blocks..

CCEE1539 cherries

For her last challenge for September, Lois is asking us  to celebrate National Cherries Jubilee Day, and asking that you make a card with cherries on it; or, if you don't have any cherries, use any fruit.
I just happen to have this digital image from Power Poppy of cherry blossoms with cherries and just had to use it for this challenge. Thanks, Lois for all the wonderful challenges you provided this month.

CCEE1538 Citizenship

Lois is again our hostess and it being citizenship day, she has challenged us to make either  a patriotic card, or a card depicting our heritage. You know Texans seem to act like Texas is a country all to itself, and I am pretty proud to be a Native Texan who was borned here and have never left the state. The stamp in the center is a stamp from Dead Beat Stamps, a great little stamp company here in Texas, and inside I used a Dead Beat Stamp that says, "If you are lucky enough to live in Texas, you're lucky enough!" The Bronco Rider stamp is from Stampabilities.
