Crafting with Dragonflies challenge #75 Purple
I just love this new stamp I got from Unity stamps. I experimented using an edge of an embossing folder to rub ink on and spritz with water to provide a pretty purple background I really like the way it turned out. and it made the face even more promenient. Challenges are always what inspire me or provide a little mojo to jump start my creativity, so when I saw that the Crafting with Dragonflies challenge this week was purple, I was off and going. Purple is not a color I use all that often, but I think it was perfect for this card.

CCEE1708
This is my last week to host the CCEE challenges this month, and it is a tic tac toe grid that is available over on the CCEE blogsite. I am using embossing, a scripture, and ribbon. I decided to do something a little different with my ribbon this time rather than a usual bow. I also inked over the embossed portion of my card with green ink. This is one of my favorite scriptures,
Hope you go by the blogsite as linked above to see all the terrific choices my dear team members used for this challenge. Hope you can join us, and if you load over at Splitcoaststampers, please use the CCEE1708 as your keyword.
Tuesday Throwdown challenge
For the Tuesday Throwdown to make use of my favorite embellishment, I used diecuts and seam binding as my favorite embellishments. The digital is from Power Poppy and I colored it with my copic markers.

Power and Sparkle challenge for February
I finally figured out how to print out the digital image in lighter colors so that I could take part in this month's Power and Sparkle challenge over at Power Poppy. I love this dogwood digital from Power Poppy and wanted use it for my first attempt at this technique. I have to shout out a big Thank You to my dear stamping friend, Irene who gave me some pointers for getting this printed.

Dragonfly Journeys challenge - Bodacious bows!
I've been trying out some new challenges to put on my blog to ger a little more traffic over here. This card I made using my new digital image I got over at Power Poppy. The great thing about digitals is that since they store on your computer, they take less space than stamps, and the other advantage is that you can resize it to fit the space you want to use. I printed it onto watercolor paper, then I tried using my reinkers from my copic markers to paint the sky. I used the makers for the flowers and I also used some Chameleon markers. This is big wide ribbon for my bow. I added the pearls for the corners.
You can find this challenge on at this site .

CCEE1707 Special birthdays
I am the hostess for the CCEE1707 challenge this week, and today is my mother's 88th birthday.
The challenge is to make a birthday card for some special lady in your life.
I used a digital image from Power Poppy. I found these lacy stickers at Dollar Tree, so used them to trim this card. The diecut is a Christmas gift from sister, Lynn. I tried out one of my new Chameleon markers for the flowers. I used Copic markers as well.
Hope you join us this week and if you upload to SCS used the CCEE1707 as your keyword. Come by the blog site to check out the beautiful cards the team made.

COFfebruary16
For the February challenge this month for the Crafters of Faith, Barb has asked us to use the scripture from 1 Corinthians 16:14 "Let everything you do be done in love."
I decided that instead of a Valentine card or tag that I would art journal that page in my journaling Bible.

Come and Get it Challenge
Inspired by this beautiful Pandora charm, I created this Valentine, that makes use of a Unity Stamp.
I used red, white, and silver glittered design paper. I added red rhinestones and used a red marker to outline the red border to eliminate an extra layer of paper. Makes it lighter and easier to mail.
This is for the SCS Inspiration challenge this week, and also the Come and Get it Challenge.
Valentines are such a wonderful time of year to make cards.

Allsorts Challenge #401 Paper piecing
I made this for the paper piecing challenge being held over on the Allsorts challenge blog. Paper piecing is one of my favorite techniques. I used 2 kinds of design paper for this digital stamp from Power Poppy. I cut out the leaves and glued them over the print I did on the pink design paper. I had first intended to cut the tulips out as well, but I really liked the pink background, so then I just added some shading to the tulips with one of my pink copic markers. The sentiment is from Sweet and Sassy (I think).
