CCEE1520

Get out your acrylics and your inks.  Joanne, our hostess for this week, wants you to create a background using inks, but no stamps or embossing folders. She also wants something acrylic on your
card/project. (You certainly may use stamps for your main panels….only the bkgd.
must be made without stamps or embossing folders.

So, I smeared some acrylic paints onto an acrylic block to come up with the colors for my background. I layed some diecut numbers out and sponged around them with ink to add to the backbround. She said no stamps, but she didn't say stenciling!! I added a diecut graduation cap, and the diecut label. The sentiment is from Kithch Sink Stamps. I added a clear acrylic button tied with a metalic gold chord, sprinkled a few gold sequins across the card and wah-lah--a handy graduation card for this time of year.

You can join us on this fun challenge, by linking your card over on the CCEEStampers blog, and also enjoy seeing the creations of all the other team members.

What a great look, Liz! Your background turned out really nice, and I like the sponging around the numbers.

Clever with the acrylic button! I had no idea whether I should use something like that and hoped that acrylic paints were ok. Extra smart to use an acrylic block to make your backgrounds - and using the numbers and sponging round them looks super.
