Speedy the Cat's Blog challenge

Everytime I see this particular plaid, I think of my first school lunchbox I had over 50 years ago. It was this exact plaid, and my Grandaddy Austin had painted my entire full name diagonally across the front. "Elizabeth Ann Austin". I was so proud of it. When I ran across that scrap in my pile of design paper scraps, that memory just rushed into my brain. So, I decided that this verse, a new stamp from Mark's Finest Papers to be released next week, was perfect to put with it. Graduation is such an important time in the lives of those who are experiencing them. Sadness for parents who are reminded how quickly those years passed, happiness for the achievements of educational accomplishments, and excitement for the new life that will soon begin in a different direction. May is full of ceremonies that parents and grandparents are proud to see their offspring accomplish. Best wishes to all graduates and their families.
