This is for the Color Throw Down Challenge this week to use red, black, ivory, and yellow. The rose image is from Mark's Finest Papers and was stamped with tuxedo black and colored with copic markers.

I had to capture this pretty rose that is in my front yard!! It just looked so perfect.

I had to photograph this at night so my colors did not come out quite right in my photo, but I loved how this image fit this spellbinder shape.

This is for today's SCS's sketch challenge. These great design papers are from Basic Grey. The stamp set is from Mark's Finest Papers.

Belli Challenge for letter C

Being a retired Kindergarten teacher, I love these letter challenges. This one is for the letter C for this week's Belli Challenge. I used cameo coral and certainly celery cardstock to make a celebration card by stamping a cupcake with chocolate icing colored with copic markers and a cherry on top. I used curves and circles and a cuttlebug for the background circles. I heated the ribbon so that it was crumpled looking and one of the ribbons was chocolate colored. These are always a fun challenge and the letter "C" was a great one to select this week. The stamps are from Mark's Finest Papers. The ribbons I have had for some time as is the cuttlebug folder that I used.

Stampin' Sisters in Christ #80

I spent a few days traveling this week for spring break, so I missed doing some of my favorite challenges during the week. Stampin' Sisters in Christ is one of my favorites on Sunday, and this Sunday it was hosted by a dear sister of faith, Lovely Linda. The challenge was to use something we treasure: bling or something new. I took my trip with my cherished sister, Lynn and we went seeking fabulous stamp, craft, and scrapbook stores of central Texas. I found this fabulous Sizzix embossing folder so used it with a new cross stamp I got in my most recent Stampin' Up order. I added gemstones and a pearl and of course, I cherish the cross so it seemed perfect for this challenge.

This is for the speed sketch challenge for Flourishes. I also did this for the Stampin' Bees challenge to make a spring colored thank you card using pink. The flower image is from Flourishes and the sentiment is from Mark's Finest Papers.

Another Sneak Peek from MFP

It is always so fun to get to stamp during Sneak Peek week at Mark's Finest Papers. I am always so anxious to get these babies inked up and going. I love vintage stamps, and this one is especially a great one that I think you will love. I find it so endearing that Faith's ancestors have always had a love for animals and she includes them in the stamps. This set is available next week during MFP's Blog Hop week. You won't want to miss all the great things the design team creates using these fabulous stamps.

There are so many great things that can be done with this set, and these sentiments are a great addition to the set. I am always more challenged with masculine cards, but this set would be fabulous for any card giving necessary. Keep checking here all week to see some of the other great stamps soon to be released. A Sneak Peek from MFP

This stamp is from a soon to be released stamp from Mark's Finest Papers next week. I love vintage stamps and this one will make a lovely addition to my collection. Basic black paper was used as the card base for this card. The design paper is from Basic Grey and the wonderful punch is from Martha Stewart. The
