Cowboys have birthdays too

This is done with Kitchen Sink Stamps for the boots, and the sentiment is from Mark's Finest Papers.
The medallion is from Deadbeat Designs. I love the multilayering on the boots to get that realistic look and I reverse embossed with the paisley folder of my cuttlebug to get that tooled leather look.
This card is made with Mark's Finest Papers' Southwest Cowboy set. I used some burgandy cardstock and a scrap of Basic Grey design paper. Basic black was used behind the  design paper. I punched it with a zigzag punch from Martha Stewart. My nestabilities cut out the cowboy image and mat for it. Twine was added for the rope. All was stamped with Memento Tuxedo black and colored with copic markers.

It's getting close to Rodeo time here in Houston, Texas so these were fun to make! Being a Texas girl, I have plenty of cowboy stamps in my collection. Yeehaw, have a great week!!

What awesome cowboy cards, Liz....the boots look sooo real and I love how you created the sentiment!!! The cowboy on the second card is quite the hunk and how cool to lace the twine through the holes in the scallop!!! Yup...mighty fine looking cards and I bet they will sell like hot cakes!!!
