CCEE1631

Aug. 4 CCEE1631 – Sister’s Day! In the month of August, I will be the hostess for the CCEEStampers challenges.  As many of you know, or perhaps you don’t, Lynn and I are sisters. When we were asked to join the CCEE team at the same time, we both thought it would be fun to be doing this together. So, for your sister card, find an image of a pair or group of ladies or girls who just might be sisters doing things that sisters like to do.

If you choose to join us in the challenge, which I hope you will, include your card in your comment, or post it onto SCS using the CCEE1631 as your keyword.

This is a great vintage stamp from my collection and it is not actually a picture of Lynn and I.
I remembered the old black and white photos from my mom's old picture album of when were little and how she somehow applied some special paints to tone the flesh tones of the pictures. So, that is why I only colored the skin in this image. I had frist thought of only using black, white, and tans on this card,  but I found this deep red sheet left over from an earlier project and liked how it added the extra color this probably needed.

If you happen to have a sister or two, why don't you wish them a happy
sister's day!!! Love you, Lynn, and so glad I had you beside me to get through this life!
It is really fun that we share this same passion for stamping.

WEll I think adding the RED was a great idea!! My parents sometimes colored sepia pictures of me, so I knew just what you meant. This image is darling. Aren't you and Lynn so lucky to have each other!

You are two awesome sisters. That could also be me as I was always tagging along with my Sis....which she hated at that time! I am sure you and Lynn share many happy memories. Awesome card!

I always loved those colorized photos! They are a part of my earliest photo memories, too! So, of course, I love this amazing design! I see many of our childhood photos in this card!

Thanks for being my fabulous and faithful big sister. I love you! Happy Sister Day!

Hello Liz! :) I did not know you and Lynn were sisters!! Very cool to find that out!! Your card is darling with that Vintage style image!! I love the layout design here too! Unfortunately, I don't have a sister, but I have a sister-in-law that might like a card! :) Thanks for sharing!

I like the look of your card. I have lots of those black-and-white photos also. And I like the way you colorized the skin tone.
