CCEE1748 Wedding or baby card

Hi....Joanne here with the last challenge for November......here it is.......

As the last of our celebratory month, I would like you
to make a baby card OR a wedding
card......your choice.

If you have lots of time, you could make both...

I decided to make a wedding card. I used an irredicent cardstock for the cardbase. I embossed it, diecut a cross from Spellbinder, stamped azaleas with a Power Poppy set, and the sentiment is from Stampin' Up.

CCEE1747 our Christmas stash

Hi....Joanne here with our third challenge for the month.  Here is my challenge for the week.....

This week we are going to make a card for our holiday stash.  You can make a Christmas card, a New Year’s card, or a winter card…..whichever you think you need the most for your stash.

I love using red for Christmas and I took that stash suggestion literally. I found some Christmas things that I probably bought after Christmas last year on sale to use for this year. So, in my stash I found a Poinsettia embossing folder that was still in it's package I found for $1.99. So instead of using it in the usual embossing manner, I inked the inside with candy apple red distress ink and spritzed it with some water and then stamped it onto my white paper. Then I got out my old faithful Poinsettia die from Spellbinders, and then my Joy I got a couple of summers ago at a Scrapbook convention out at the Woodlands.  The strip of red design paper I got in an after Christmas sale at Hobby Lobby. So there you have it, piece by piece and from the old stashes I have around in my stamproom. My last year's resolution is to deplete that stash as much as I can this year. I gave it my all to do so, but I still have too much stash so I will continue that personal challenge. At least one or more things on every card I make this year much come from the what I already have piles of paper and embellishments.

Join us this week and load your card over on SCS with our keyword:CCEE1747 or link onto the link over on the CCEEstampers Blog HERE.

Rubberneck Christmas and sparkle challenge #23

This stamp from Rubbernecker was one of the choices I made recently when I won second place on the challenge a few months ago. I used oxide distress ink first, then I used platinum momento and put gold embossing powder on the second layer. I stamped red berries and then added red rhinestones just to add a little more sparkle. I found this red and white striped ribbon in my stash, so used it for my bow. The gold trim is acutually sticker strips. This is Rubberneckers' final challenge for the year, so you might want to check it out here.

Just Us Girls challenge #420

This week's Just Us Girls' challenge is color week and the colors are gold, brown, and aqua. You can find their challenge here.:
Fot my card, I used some retired Stampin' Up stamps, some fabulous design paper from a tablet I have stashed away, and those fabulous Oxide distress inks. Here's what I created:

I also used two glittery gold snowflakes as accent behind the flowers.

In the pink 127

The challenge for the In the Pink challenge can be found here. It was to use dots and stripes. I used dots and decided on a Christmas theme for my card. I cut a stencil of a tree and then used my small pink ink pads to directly apply the ink into the shape. I applied clear stickers that had hearts made from small glittery dots.

CCEE1746

Well.....Happy Birthday to Joanne!!!!!!  In honor of her special day, this week's challenge is to make a feminine birthday card with flowers.  To celebrate the day with her,  she requests that we do a random act of kindness.  Call a friend who might need cheer, pay for someone's coffee, give a hug, .....try to make a difference.

You can join in on the fun by playing along and linking it over on the CCEEstampers Blog
HERE. While you are there check out all the floral birthday wishes all the others on the team have shared.

For my card, I used a stamp set from Power Poppy. I fussy cut the roses and the cup of roses and then popped up the cup of roses. I used a Martha Stewart border punch and a Spellbinder tag die.

Happy Birthday, sweet Joanne!

Mod Squad challenge - no white or ivory

I made this card for the Mod Squad challenge this week that requires one to NOT use white or ivory on their card. So, I did not even use white paper for the poinsettia. I stamped it on red paper, then I paper pieced the leaves from the green paper. I added copic marker highlights to the flower and the leaves. Rhinestones were used for the center of the poinsettia. I used a black card base, and found the green and glittery card stock in my scrap piles. Then I realized I used this same stamp for my challenge card last week. But it was on a white background. So I got just as much of a pop on the black background. The silver glitter added a little pazzaz.

CCEE1745 Masculine card

Hi...Joanne here with the CCEE weekly challenge.....and here it is.....

I’m not sure about the rest of you, but I never seem to have enough masculine birthday cards.  This week is for the guys……make a masculine card of any type….does not have to be a birthday card.

Want to play along with us this week, don't forget to drop back here to enter the link to your card to Mr Linky over on the CCEEstampers blogsite.

While you are over at the CCEEstampers blog, check out what our Design Team created this week for the challenge .

I used an Artistic Impressions stamp set for this card. I embossed the background, found a piece of plaid paper left over from an earlier project, and added this image and sentiment.
It is perfect for the man in my life, who is quite the bowler when he gets out on a lane.

Mod Squad 's cutting edge challenge

Although I have made my goal this year to do at least two Christmas cards a week during the whole year and I have reached the number I usually send out, I am still wanting to make more, so I will probably be increasing my card sending list this year. I decided to use this huge poinsettia stamp (and I don't remember the source of that stamp) to add one more to my Christmas stash using the Mod Squad challenge this week as my motivation. I tried to keep it CAS as well as  keeping the background white. I masked the background and sponged on candy apple red oxide ink onto the flower and colored the leaves with Copic markers. I added gold rhinestones for the center. I love how the oxide ink left that suede type of look that make this flower seem more life like.

CCEE1744

Hello.....welcome to the CCEE Stampers Challenge.   Joanne is starting her duties as the hostess for the month of November.  Here is her challenge for the DT and YOU, if you want to play along with us.

This month we are going to keep it simple.  The holidays are coming, and times will be busy.  This will be a month of celebrations.  This week we would like you to make a Thanksgiving card OR a card of thanks.

Want to play along with us this week, don't forget to drop back here to enter the link to your card to Mr Linky over at the CCEEStampers blog.

Also check out to  see what our Design Team created this week for the challenge while you are there.

I created a smashed oxide ink background then did a little stenciling and then a little stamping.  I used this die from Stamps of Life. I am late getting my card posted because I was too involved in watching the Houston Astros this week in the World Series. The Houston Astros have been a blessing to Houston by bringing some joy and excitement back into this area that was hit so hard by Harvey in August. I love my Astros and are so proud of them. You were in it to win it and YOU DID EARN IT!!!
