Dare to be a Dirty Girl
Oh, it's the "Dare to be a dirty girl" week of challenges over on Splitcoaststampers. I have completed about 23 cards so far in the challenges and hope to get going on today's six cards as soon as I get this posted. Oh, getting to experience the exhilarating life of a dirty girl is quite a thrill to say the least. I was at a meeting all day Saturday when the challenges started, so Sunday after church, it was catch up time for me. I got three done on Monday before I headed down south to visit a friend for the day and night. Tuesday I was playing catch up again. But, as of this moment, I have all completed except for the 6 that were just posted today.
If you are not a member of the the fan club at Splitcoaststampers, you are missing the excitement and the opportunity to win prizes. I love getting free stuff! Don't we all??? Think about joining, and the way I have always looked at it, Splitcoaststampers offers me cyberspace to store my cards. I have probably over 10,000 cards in my gallery over there, and it is worth it to me to have them there and then I don't have to keep the actual cards I make, but can mail them or share them with others. Check out my gallery if you like by just clicking on the splitcoaststampers picture on the sidebar.
I really liked the way this one layered collage card turned out. I used such a variety of stamps. I guess that is what I love best about no .longer being a Stampin' Up demonstrator. I can combine any stamps I want and create with NO limitations. I love Stampin' Up but it did bar limits to things. The freedom is a big part of the creativity process.
So, I've been busy over at Splitcoaststampers this week, and have neglected my blog but will be back taking part in my usual challenges next week. Happy Stampin'!!

ODBDSLC163
I love this sentiment from Our Daily Bread Designs. The challenge was to be inspired by one of the cake photos. Here's the one I selected:
I was honored again this week over at Our Daily Bread Designs for this card I entered in this challenge.
I just love this company and their wonderfully, inspired stamps that have fabulous spiritual messages that glorify God and edifies others. Thank you, ODBD for all you do to keep us stamping for the Lord.

Casing Heather of the Flourishes' Design team
Heather Jensen, the Focused Design Team member this week, has some beautiful cards featured on the Flourishes Blog . I did this card because of the inspiration I got from seeing her pretty strawberry card. Not much can make one think of summer more than all those wonderful fresh, red strawberries that can be fold in the fresh produce of the grocery stores or fruit stands. Mine are colored with copic markers.
FLLCBC2
Here is my 10 minute birthday card for the FLLCBC #2 challenge. This is probably one of the first stamps I purchased from Flourishes almost 6 years ago, and now they are celebrating their 6th Birthday. This is a basket full of cards with best wishes and congratulations for a job well done! Your stamps have helped to bring birthday wishes to many folks who have received my creations using them. Thanks, Flourishes for the quality you put in your product. Even after 6 years, your stamps always keep their classic look that never goes out of style. You truly are timeless.
FLLCBC1
One of my favorite stamp companies is celebrating their 6th birthday. Over on their blog they are having some celebration challenges, and the first one is to use black and white. I used the set called Love and Lace.
Congratulations, Flourishes on this great celebration. My collection just seems to be getting bigger and bigger.

WAW89
I used the beautiful scripture that was on the WAW site this week. I used melon mambo cardstock for the background that I embossed, I used my spellbinder edge to make the white panels and then I stamped them with some of my Rubber Tapestry Stamps. I sponged the melon mambo ink around the edges of the verse.
Let prayer keep you by the streams of blessings!

White plus one color is the challenge over on the Our Daily Bread Designs Shining the Light challenge,, so I picked black as my color. I used the It is Well With My Soul background stamp from ODBD and the Sweet William set. I used tuxedo black ink and black paper for the punched leaves and diecut. A black rhinestone is the centers.
I am honored that this card was selected for one of the award winning cards of the week for this challenge.
Thanks, Our Daily Bread Designs.
FTTC229
These are three 3 by 3 cards made with a Flourish stamp. The design paper is My Mind's Eye and the cardstock is Baja Breeze. I diecut the ovals and added a few brown pearls. The coloring of the images was done with Copic markers.
CCEE1328 collage
The CCEE challenge this week was to do a collage using at least 4 stamps. I used some stamps from Flourishes for the images and an old standby retired SU stamp for the background and the sun. I love beach themed cards for summer, so decided a beach collage would be the next best thing to being at the beach.
Hope everyone is having a relaxing summer.

CTD250
Today I am revisiting some old great stamps from a retired Stampin' Up set called Best Blossoms. After stamping mambo melon flowers, bermuda bay flowers and crumb cake leaves, I added some punched circles of saffron yellow as flower centers and some crumb cake berries. Using blender pen I added some darkened areas of mambo melon on the big flowers and added with a copic tan marker some shadows to my berries. I sponged a little so saffron as a background. This was a great color combo and what fun to be taking part in the 250th celebration of the Color Throwdown challenge.. The prizes are terrific.

Christmas in July CAS on Sunday
I found a new challenge today, that I think I will enjoy taking part in from week to week. The challenge was to do a CAS Christmas card. I always love those. The embossing strip is from Darice. The punches are from Martha Stewart. I used platinum planet ink from Memento to stamp the sentiment.
Little Red Wagon 192
The Little Red Wagon challenge was to make a clean and simple card. I saw a pinterest post that showed how you can use a smaller punch to punch parts out of a larger border punch. I added some jewels and thought the sentiment from SU made it fit for a queen.
Sweet Stampin' challenge - Butterflies and bows
When I ordered this butterfly from Stampin' Up I was a little surprised at the size of it, so usually when I use it I do it as a partial image. This one was stamped in versamark ink, then I embossed it with Martha Stewart's white embossing powder. I colored in the sections with copic markers. I sponged around the image with Bermuda Bay ink. The sentiment is from Sweet and Sassy. I used two colors of organdy ribbon for the bow. The card is mounted on a little bit larger piece of Bermuda Bay card stock as a back piece.
You can check out this challenge here.

Shades of grey
For the Less is More challenge 127 Shades of Grey. I used this fabulous multi-layered stamp from Kitchen Sink Stamps. Added a few score lines to the simple card, and added the sentiment I found to be most appropriate for this challenge.
C4C194
Yea, a free Saturday to do a little stamping and to do one of my favorite challenges Crazy for Challenges. This week it was to use words as the focus of the card. This gave me the opportunity to use my brand new stamp from Just Rite Stamps. I used some black and white cardstock, and a great piece of double sided design paper from Graphics 45. Love my new matching diecut too.
Hope your Saturday is filled with the things you love to do.

Casing Silke
I am a big fan of the Flourish Design Team, and have been enjoying that they are being featured on the Flourish blog. This week Silke is being highlighted and the challenge is to case a card of hers. One of her favorite sets of hers is Kids Play, which is also one of mine so I cased her card using that set. Here's my card:
