Word Art Wednesday 21
One of my favorite of a new found challenge is this one called Word Art Wednesday Challenge. Here is my card for this week's challenge using this verse from 1 John. I used Basic Grey design paper as my background and my diecuts from Spellbinder and my cross diecut from Verve. I have had this Jollee's cross hoarded for some time. As we enter Holy Week next week, I pray that you will focus on just how much God loves us all. I think this will also qualify for the challenge over on the Belli140 challenge this week to use 3 shapes.

ODBDSLC101
I used the faux silk technique, which was so wonderfully demonstrated by Angie over on the ODBD blog on a video. The stamps I used are from ODBD. I colored the ivory ribbon with a copic marker to match the color of the cardbase of the card. I used spellbinders and a Martha Stewart border punch.

This basket weave background stamp from Flourishes has always been a favorite of mine. I thought it would look great with this bunch of vegetables, also from Flourishes. The cardbase is river rock and all of the ivory panel is stamped with soft suede for the basket weave, and tuxedo black for the vegetables. I colored them with my copics. It was fun doing a long card, Silke. Go here to see all the fabulous samples made by the design team.
Word Art Wednesday #20
A card for Word Art Wednesday. A great scripture was provided. I used river rock ink to stamp leaves over the top and also on the card base. I made this flower with a diecut. I love discovering spiritual and uplifting challenges like this. Spreading the word in the beautiful way of paper crafting is a perfect way to share the Good news with the world. ....so the world will know!!!

MOJO233
This card is made for the Monday Mojo for Verve. I used Verve stamps, Graphics45 design paper, and Stampin' up cardstock. I used tuxedo black and more mustard ink. The butterfly was stamped on design paper with some shading added with a copic marker. I used pearls for the butterflies body. The paper punch is from Martha Stewart.

CAS-ual Friday Challenge #44
There was a 1-2-3 formula for the CAS-ual Friday challenge today. I used one pattern on the paper, one image, and one sentiment. The stamps are from Flourishes. The papers from Stampin' Up and the design paper from Graphics 45.

FLLCMARRW2
This is for Flourishes' Front and Back challenge. I stamped the same image in the background with rich cocoa. I stamped the one on white in tuxedo black and colored it with copic markers. I used a Flourishes stamp and added a wide ribbon to it.
FLLCMARRW1
The challenge was to make a round card. I used the seaweed to stamp around the inside of the circle like a wreath. I added some punched pine needles to look like coral, some cut out shells, and some pearls. The bottom layer which is the card front is stamped with sand dollars. Since pearls are from the sea, I decided to put a few around the frame. Again I used jute as a bow. The stamps are from Flourishes.
FTTC160
The Flourish Timeless Tuesday Challenge was to use scallops and lace. I decided to let this shell set feel a little ink since they have been neglected for a while now. I embossed the light blue paper with a Sizzix folder, stamped the images in Tuxedo black, London gray, and sahara sand. I did a little shading with copic makers. I decided to contrast the lace with the jute bow.

SSIC130
The challenge over on Stampin' sisters in Christ was to use dark and light colors. I used black and white. I found my black and white dp on my paper cutter table left from a previous project. Added the lace and some stamped berries to the scripture panel. This was quick and easy, but I really liked the contrast.

Faux embossing was the technique this week on Just Us Girls Challenge 127. I was out of town for a few days because of Spring Break, so I am doing catchup on some of my favorite challenges I missed over the weekend. The punches I used are Martha Stewart and the stamp set I used is from Flourishes. I also tried out my Becca's Bow maker that I just got on Saturday. Wow, it makes wonderful bows so easily.

spring is here!
I took this picture of the pretty wisteria that is blooming in my yard. Everything seems to be in bloom now and we had some rain for a few days. God is good!
Word Art Wednesday
This is for the challenge over at Word Art Wednesday. This is a lovely quote from Mother Teresa.
I did all the stamping and attached the quote and then ran it through my cuttlebug using a folder from Sizzix. It reminded me of textured wallpaper. The stamp set is from Stampin' Up.

I just loved the colors in this inspirational picture, and the challenge was to use at least 3 of the colors. I used the greens, yellows, and oranges, as well as the mustard and browns for my card. I used this wonderful Gerber daisies stamp from Flourishes for my card. The roll of jute in the picture inspired me to use this natural twine as my bow on my card.
MOJO Monday 231
One day late with my mojo, but here's what I came up with for this week's Mojo Monday Challenge.
All the stamps I used are from Verve.

This little round card was a challenge for me! I did this for the Sisterhood Sunday challenge, which was this sketch:
Mine is a small card, but I did follow this sketch layout.

SSIC wings
This card is for the Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge this week to use wings on your card. I decided these butterflies from Our Daily Bread Designs fits the bill. I stamped the background of the river rock paper with the ODBD background stamp that coordinates with this butterfly set. I diecut the flowers with a Tim Holtz diecut. I love the sentiment that reminds us just how much God loves us.
JUGS126
This is for the JUGS 126 challenge which was a sketch challenge this week. I used a scripture stamp from Stampabilities and a flower stamp from Verve. I love this soft blue that was left over from another card. I punched the edges with a Martha Stewart border punch. I added the silk bow. I love stamping over another stamped image. It's a great look I think.

ODBDSLC99
Love this little dogwood stamp from the sing for joy set from ODBD. In honor of spring being right around the corner, decided this array of spring colors was the perfect palette colors. I repeated the stamping around an ivory circle. I colored it with my copics. I embossed the green panel, and punched the eyelet border with a Martha Stewart punch. I used a wide piece of grograin ribbon and added some pearls.
C4C 126 Fancy Folds
The bigger picture is the outside of the card, the smaller inset is the inside. I used an inked embossing folder to stamp the pattern on the folded back part of the front. I used Memento Bahama Blue to stamp the medallion. I used tuxedo black for the inside sentiment. I am not sure of the source of the medallion, but the inside scripture is from Stampin' Up. The card is made from a 4 by 12 strip of cardstock. I folded on the 4 inch and 8 inch points on my Scor Pal. I folded the ends into the middle and then did the slanted fold in such a way that it meets in the middle diagonally across the front. I learned this fold from a SU demonstrator years ago. I haven't made one is quite awhile.

The Free for all challenge today on Splitcoaststampers is to use a blue flower. This is one of my favorite stamps from Flourishes. I decided the "blue skies" sentiment complemented this challenge really well. Hope everyone has a terrific weekend.
