Belli Challenge #88

The new Creative Belli Challenge is to use spray color. I also used an image from Stamping Boutique who is the sponsor. I used Tsukineko's Walnut Ink Antiquing Solution for my spray color. I wanted to give my card a dirty look so it appeared this adorable little cleaning lady had a mess on her hands. I colored the image with my ever, marvelous copic markers (you know how I adore my markers)! The design paper is from K&Company and the cardbase is kraft cardstock. I hope you will join us in this challenge, and link your card here.http://www.bellichallenge.blogspot.com/

Color Dare #62

This week's colors are ruby red, baja breeze, and whisper white. I pulled out an old Stampin' Up wheel for this. I cuttlebugged the stars onto the baja breeze panel. I used some gold cardstock to paper piece the medals and as the frame around the stamped images. The "Congratulations" is from the SU set Well Scripted. Hope you will join in on the fun of the Color Dare challenge.

Mark's Finest Papers and Copic Colour Challenge #57

The copic colour challenge this week was to use G99, BVo8, and E59. I did not have E59 so I substituted the lighter walnut E57. This stamp set is from Mark's Finest Papers and it is called Serene Lady. I used a piece of Basic Grey's Wisteria collection for my design paper and I used Mark's Finest Papers' Willow Wind, which is so soft and gorgeous. I thought using the softer colors in the background was a great contrast with the boldness of the colors used to color the image. I wanted to use some organdy ribbon that I had from Mark's Finest Papers but I did not have a violet, so with the great versatility of copic markers, I colored my ribbon with the BV08 marker to match my color scheme. Just another of a long list of reasons why I love copic markers. They can do just about any job you might need them to do!!! How awesome is that????

Belli Challenge #87

There is a sketch for the Belli Challenge this week and also the embellishment to use is a clip of some sort.
I actually used two on mine. I just loved the pattern on this design paper from Paper Studio. I love using scripture on my cards and I thought this sketch worked perfect for this one from Proverbs. Hope you join us in the fun for this challenge. Link your card to Mr. Linky over on the Belli challenge Blog.Have a blessed week!

Color Dare #60

The colors for the color dare this week are real red, more mustard, gable green, and tempting turquoise. I used a stamp from the Spring Rose set from Mark's Finest Papers. I stamped a repeated pattern and added the primas to the centers.

Stampin' Sisters in Christ #30 and Stamptacular Sunday Challenge #49

Our Daily Bread Designs are  celebrating their 2nd anniversary. This stamp set is one of my favorites from ODBD, so thought I would use it to help them celebrate. This is for the Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge to use a peaceful image. I also chose what I think are peaceful colors, and I have many people in my life that need prayers of peace, so I used this sentiment from the same ODBD set. The beautiful soft blue cardstock and that fabulous tan cardstock are from Mark's Finest Papers. I used one of my cuttlebug diecuts and a Stampin' Up sellabation punch also. Copic markers were used to color in the image that was stamped with close to cocoa ink.  Sahara sand was the ink used for the sentiment. The design paper is from Basic Grey. The sketch is the Stamptacular Sunday Challenge today. How fun it was to combine these great challenges and to wish Our Daily Bread Designs many more years of success ahead! I love that they always include Biblical scriptures in their sets. What a wonderful way to spread the Good News in such a beautiful way, giving us all the opportunity to create cards that glorify God with our unique and wonderful talents. May God's peace be with all who visit my blog. Have a blessed Sabbath day!!

Ready for spring, Chickadee?

I did this for the paper piercing challenge over on Crazy for Challenges. This little chickadee is all ready for spring, and next week he will be featured on one of the new stamp sets being released from Mark's Finest Papers. All the paper and ribbon are from Mark's finest papers as well. This lime freeze is a realy favorite of mine from Faith's great collection of papers. The piercing pattern is a digital pattern I got from Angel's Landing a while back. I've seen so many more birds this past week that I am convinced spring is right around the corner.

Belli Challenge #86

Our sponsor for the Belli Challenge this week is Sunshine Stamps. This little image is one of their creations. I found this fun design paper from K & Company and it looked great with SU's kiwi kiss cardstock. I cut some of the little worded pointer out and attached with eyelets which I got to use my new Crop a Dile Big Bite on. I found it on a clearance at Walmart for $20 (what a deal)!! It was so fun because I could reach any point on the card that I wanted an eyelet!!! I haven't used eyelets in a long time, so it was great to come up with some clever ways to use them. Hope you have fun with it too and then link it to Mr. Linky over on the Belli blog site.

I loved these colors this week for the color dare. I did a little punching, a little embossing, and a little huffing and puffing (or that's what I call that method anyway)!! This ribbon treatment was a great way to  use up some of those smaller pieces of ribbon scraps. I even added eyelets, which are also the challenge for the Belli Challenge this week. I haven't used eyelets in quite sometime. I know you can come up with something lovely with these fabulous colors so go over to the Color Dare blog to link it to Mr. Linky!!!

MMSC43

This sketch is for the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #43.
This is a sneak peek at a new stamp set from Mark's Finest Papers called Spring Roses. The papers I used are from Mark's Finest Papers except for the back. I used some of Faith's white organdy ribbon that I colored with my copic marker to get it the color I wanted it to be. I just love my copic markers because they do amazing things like this. Be sure to stop by over on Mark's Finest Papers to see all the new things Faith keeps offering.

Mark's Finest Papers Guest Designer

March is going to be such an exciting time for me as I will get the opportunity to be a guest designer for Mark's Finest Papers. I can not begin to tell you how thrilled I am to have a chance to do some things I love.
I think you will be excited to see the new stamps that Faith will have available soon over at Mark's Finest Papers. This one I used is called Daffodils and Anise. It has this butterfly and also a hummingbird as part of the set. I was really excited about these wonderful metal flowers and leaves as embellishments. Check on those to be released as well. Faith also handles all the Basic Grey collections that I love and I used some of the papers from the Nook and Pantry collection on this card. The cardstock, called Breezy Blue, is just right for those gorgeous spring cards you will need to get going on!!! I stamped the anise directly onto the design paper, which is something I have been trying lately. I colored it in with copic markers as well as the butterfly. The ribbon is a soft blue organdy which is so perfect for that light and airy feeling that makes you think of spring. Look forward to MFP's blog hop to take place on March 10-13. More details to come on that!
Again, I look forward to showing you all the wonderful things you can find over at Mark's Finest Papers.
