The challenge was to use 3 distictively different textures. You can check out the samples on here. This is one of my newest cuttlebugged folders(Oh, My Crafts) that I used on the Morning Sun cardstock (Mark's Finest Papers). The textured design paper and the flowered dp are from Basic Grey (which Mark's Finest Paper handles) and the stamps are from Stampin' Up and Stampabilities. This is my fun new way to use ribbon (PTI) made using my scor-tape. I just love that stuff. No more gunked up scissors. I love sentiments that are little proverbs of life. I liked the way this looked stamped over the flower and leaves. I gotta have a little bling, and there you have it!!!!

WT259
When I saw today's Ways to use challenge was lace, I thought of my new Flourish stampset immediately. I really had to work with it a while to get things going for this design, but I was pretty happy with the results. The pretty blue papers are from Mark's Finest Papers and so is that gorgeous blue ribbon. The lacey images were stamped in Paris Dusk memento ink. I used the Fleur de Lys Spellbinder and the scalloped oval nestabilities as the center focal point. I added a few pearls as the finishing touches.

Color Dare Challenge #57
I am so looking forward to spring this year. Springtime in Texas is just one of our prettiest seasons. I love this stamp from Deadbeat Designs with some of Texas' best known cities and towns that I found in a great little stamp store in Salado, Texas a couple of years ago. I cuttlebugged the star background and I stamped the bluebonnet and Indian paintbrush with a retired Stampin' Up set that I adore.
I used markers to color the ink onto the rubber and used the fun "huff and puff" method (or that's what I call it). The leaves stamp is a Studio G stamp from Michael's great collection of $1 stamps a while back.
I hope you will join us in the Color Dare Challenge this week and add your link to Mr. Linky over on the color dare blog.
I look forward to seeing what you make these colors do for you. They are a great combination with all kinds of possibilities.

Stampin' Sisters in Christ #27
I just love this image from Mo's Digital Pencil. I think it says so much about time passage from one generation to another. A grandmother and her grand daughter enjoying a happy time of sharing something they love. I made up the sentiment on my computer. The sense of family is certainly something that is nutured and taught from one generation to another. I think this sweet stamp just pictures this concept for me so well. I used my new Martha Stewart punch to make the frame and I added some primas and a brad in the bottom corner.

Behind the scenes in Texas
The challenge today for the 2RedBananas challenge was to make your own background with stamps. I'm so ready for spring and it is the prettiest season in Texas! So with some of my favorite Texas stamps in hand (a stamp from Stampin' Up's retired Petal Prints and 2 stamps from Deadbeat Designs) I have created me a background for my Texas themed card. To add a little green I used a Studio G leaf stamp. I used gold cardstock for the Texas medallion and it is embossed in gold embossing powder. I used my SU markers for the bluebonnets and Indian paintbrush. I used ladybug red for the Texas stamp and bamboo leaf for the leaves.

The challenge for today's Crazy 4 Challenges was RED. Red, white, and black are one of my favorite color combos, so I remembered I had this scrap left from a stamp club card, and I used it for this one. I used my new sellabration stamp and the paper punch I got for my sellabration purchases too. What I loved about this label stamp was that my Stam, pin' Up paper punches fit it. I ended up with an ink line just above the left side above the word "Best" so as I always say, just an opportunity for an embellishment, hince the gold domes are covering that little imperfection!!! The red paper is from PTI. I think they call it pure poppy!!!

Snotime #126
Sharon's challenge this week was to use purple and green. I love these violets from Flourishes and my favorite green to use with the violet is kiwi kiss and shades of olive. I used my copic markers to color this. My cuttlebug supplied the embossing pattern and I cut the shapes with my nestabilities.
VLVFeb2010
This is today's sketch for the VLVFeb2010 challenge week 3. I need to catch up on the others today too. The dp is from Paper Studio and loved the colors included in it. The sentiment is from Verve.

Color Dare #55
My blue turned out a bit dark in this photo. Sorry, about that. I used a cuttlebug folder for the texture, a Martha Stewart punch for the border, and a Stampin' Up set for the stamps. I attached the flower with a blue jeweled brad. I used crushed curry ink and kiwi kiss ink. You can play along over on the Color Dare blog and link your card to Mr. Linky.
Cards for Men #3
I sure was glad to find this challenge as men cards are always a challenge for me. This week's challenge was to use this sketch. The design paper is from Basic Grey and the chocolate chip and sage shadow cardstock is from Stampin' Up. I found this little stamp in the sale bin at Hobby Lobby. It is from Stampabilities. Perhaps doing this challenge will build my collection of masculine cards.

Kitchen Sink Crew Challenge #22
This is my first attempt at using these daisies, and it appears I could use a little more practice. I think I need to get Lynn to give me some one on one tutorials for this one!! I decided I'd still use it for the challenge, as I did like the colors I used.

This is for the Crazy 4 Challenges weekly challenge. The image is from Mo's Digital Pencil.I am making 12 of these for my 4 year olds in my class. Each one will be personalized with their name and somewhat different in design. I colored the image with copic markers and I used Basic Gray paper on rose red cardstock. . That is soft suede behind the image.

What's Your Cup of Tea???
Here's my "What's your cup of tea?" challenge card. Inside I put one of my new discovered favorite beverages and it's sugar free and only 1 Weight Watcher point!! I decided to share one with my colleague who attends WW meetings with me, so I made this little card to give to her for Valentines Day. This coffee set was one of the two sets that were in my first Flourish order a few years ago. I used some Basic Grey paper to do the paper piecing. I cuttlebugged the tablecloth. The punch is the free sellabration gift I chose from my recent Stampin' Up order.

Belli Challenge #84 - Ribbons
Today's Belli Challenge is to use ribbons and it is sponsored by SWEET'n SASSY STAMPS. I found this colorful scrap in my scrap drawer and decided to use it with the birds. I just thought those little birdies were totally delightful. The card base is Aqua Mist from Paper Trey, as is the ribbon. I cut the sentiment out as a tag and attached it to the ribbon. The birds were colored with copic markers.
The bunny card is on spring moss by Paper Trey. I cut out the image, colored it with my copic markers, and added the array of ribbons. Some of the ribbons are organdy, so I heated them with my embossing gun.
Color Dare #54
Today's Color Dare Challenge was inspired by this photo. The colors make use of some of the retired "in" colors from Stampin' Up: Pacific Point (Brillant Blue), Baja Breeze (Bashful Blue), Kiwi Kiss (old olive), Basic Gray, and whisper white. I just happen to stash some of those back because Baja Breeze just happen to become my favorite of blues. I stamped with Pacific Point and Baja Breeze these 3 steps multilayered butterflies from Kitchen Sink Stamps.I was inspired by the butterflies from the inspiration picture so I thought these butterflies would be great to use with these colors. The primas were added to go along with the butterfly and flower theme. Hope you join us today and link your challenge cards over on the Color Dare's Mr. Linky.

FTTC52D
Silke Ledlow is hosting this challenge honoring the anniversary of the Flourishes' Timeless Tuesday Challenges by asking us to make a card with the main color being pink. I had to use this wonderful Flourishes' set - Think Pink and Fight Like a Girl.
I also used my new Lace Edges set to create a background for the stamped panel. This fun piece of design paper from PinkPaislee. I also used soft sky and certainly celery by SU and sweet blush by PTI.
The shapabilities I ordered from Mark's Finest Papers. Come celebrate with us over at Flourishes' by keywording your card with FTTC52D and then head over to the blog to put it on Mr. Linky so you are in the running for a prize.

Here is my fruity birthday card for the challenge our hostess, Dee Jackson is hosting for Flourishes' Anniversary challenge celebration this week. I selected Flourishes' lovely strawberry set to use for my fruit. I stamped it in rich cocoa by Memento and colored it with copic markers. I used creamy caramel cardstock by SU and design papers from Basic Grey's bittersweet collection. The punch I used is from Martha Stewart and I added a few dew drops and a little piece of gingham ribbon. Come help celebrate the first anniversary of the FTTC. Make sure you use FTTC52C for this challenge on SCS and head over to the blog to put it on Mr. Linky!!
FTTC52B
Betty's challenge is to cut it out and do a pop up. I cut out the leaves in the front and the front peach to pop up. I also used some design paper to stamp the leaves onto and cut out. I used some of the paper from my Basic Grey Sugar Rush collection and then I added the pastel stripes behind the peaches. I used Memento's tuxedo black an copic markers.
The papers and ribbons are from Paper Trey Inks and the stamps are from Flourishes. Play along in the fun and make sure your keyword is FTT52B on SCS and head over to the Flourishes' blog to sign up with Mr. Linky to be in the drawing for prizes.

I used a Martha Stewart punch to punch the corners.Stamped with tuxedo black Memento ink and colored with copics. The flower container was stamped in almost amythest with border blue mixed in. Please join in on the fun, and post your cards to SCS with the FTTC52A as your keyword. Don't forget to go to Flourishes' blog to link it with Mr. Linky to be in the drawing for prizes.
MOJO Monday #124
I used my favorite set from Verve to make this card for the Mojo Monday challenge today. There are so many in need of prayers this day. I need to make at least a dozen of these. I used a little rhinestone cross to attach to the middle of the cross. The bermuda bay looks so pretty with the starkness of the white, I think! The skinny strip and the scalloped circle are made with design paper from Jen Wilson's 29th Street Market. The prima was already a print and I added another rhinestone for the center. The white card base was cuttlebugged with the hearts folder. I had it left from some extra parts left over from supplies for a card club.
