Since we will be posting on Easter Sunday – March 31 – and since we are Crafters of Faith, I’d like us to create a religious-themed Easter card. No Easter bunnies and such, but instead a card that focuses on the Risen Lord! It can include Scripture and/or images, but needs to focus on the religious aspect of the holiday.

I used a white card because I always think of white for Easter. At my church this morning they had a huge cross covered with beautiful flowers. The cross I used is from Our Daily Bread Designs. I embossed the top and bottom of the card, and added punched flowers, leaves and a butterfly to adorn the cross. Pearls were added as flower centers and the butterfly's body.
I hope all of you had a blessed Easter filled with many Halleluia moments.

I made this to send to my brother in law and SIL for Easter. She loves this shade of blue and I embossed the cross with white MS embossing powder. I dry embossed the white cardstock and added the punched Martha Stewart punch. This cross is by Judi Kins and the sentiment is from Our Daily Bread Designs.
Hope you are reflecting this Holy Week on just how much Christ's death and Resurrection has changed your life. .

Love these design papers from My Mind's Eye. I cuttlebugged the background cardstock. I diecut the cross with a diecut from Verve, as is the sentiment. I added a cross made of rhinestones as an embellishment. The border punch is from Martha Stewart.
May the love of Christ be the true blessing of this Easter season for you and yours.
In honor of Holy Week, I am going to make use of my cross stamp collection on all the challenges I take part in this week, and share them here on my blog. This one I did this morning for the technique challenge on Mondays over on Splitcoaststampers. The challenge was to make a monochromatic card using shades of one color and one neutral color. I love the soft sky and baja breeze shades of blue that Stampin' Up offers, so I used that as my color choice. I think the rhinestones reflected that color very nicely. The cross image is from Our Daily Bread Designs and the sentiment is from Sweet and Sassy Stamps.
I also want to share part of this wonderful prayer that Jesus prayed found in John 17:1-5 :
"Father, the time has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you. For you granted him authority over all people that he might give eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. I have brought you glory on earth by completing the work you gave me to do, And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world begin."

SPRING HAS SPRUNG! I pulled out this pretty stamp set from Our Daily Bread Designs with pretty blossoms and butterflies. Butterflies and the birds singing are some of my favorite things I enjoy about spring. The images are colored with Copic markers and I went over the butterfly wings with sparkling gel pen. The background is embossed with a Paper Studio embossing folder. Spring has come to my part of Texas, but I know many of my stamping friends are still experiencing winter kind of weather in their parts of the country!

A great scripture for this week over at Word Art Wednesday. I did something crazy with my design paper. It is from My Mind's Eye. I ran it through an embossing folder on my cuttlebug, and then I inked it directly from the pad with baja breeze ink. I added the spellbinder diecuts as the focus point and paper punched some flowers and leaves with some Martha Stewart punches. Added a bow for the final touch.
I found this inspiration picture to be most inspiring on the Stampin' Royalty Challenge 168.
I just finished a card last night using these tulips from Flourishes, and since I hadn't put them away and saw the tulips in the picture, I had to may another card using it. I also used a lace stamp (and unfortunatley I don't remember the source for it - although I do remember I bought it on sale at Michael's after Christmas). The sentiment is from Flourishes as well.

Making use of these colors for Flourishes' monthly challenge
for March, I used this floral stamp from Flourishes and wanted to make use of my new Sizzix embossing folder.
I found this glittery blue paper on my paper cutting table left over from an earlier project so decided to use it on this card. The image is colored with copic markers, the diecuts are all Spellbinders. I colored my clear rhinestone with a blue copic marker so they would match the darker blue on this card. Love this color combination because it is so springlike and cheerful.

I was just playing around with some scraps as I was cleaning up my stamp table. Here is the result. I decided to enter it in to the Word Art Wedesday challenge. Words from the Bible are always encouraging words to me, so I find my stamp collection of scriptures ever growing. I can't seem to make a card without stamping on a scripture to lift someone's spirits and to offer hope. Have a blessed week!
challenge group. I am always looking for some good challenges. They are my xource of motivation to get the mojo going. The sentiment and flower is from Verve. The musical stamp is from Stampabilities. The papers are from My Mind's Eye.
