Stampin' Sisters in Christ #6

The challenge was to make a thinking of you card or prayed for you card. I used my Kitchen Sink 3-step butterfly for this card today. Having attended the Kitchen Sink event in Georgia a week ago, I learned so much to help me improve my skills in this technique. I used memento inks and found that stamping in a different order helped me keep these layers lined up better. I used a piece of silver chrome cardstock up the side of the black panel (although it looks gold in this photo). Those are silver dew drops up the side by the doily punched edge. The sentiment is from Verve. I have just the friend who might could use a little lift just knowing someone is praying for her. I'll mail this out in the morning. Bring a little sunshine you can to someone who is going through a tough time. What a great way to spread God's love!

I'm a mess!!!!

I really do try to be organized but it is so hard in this little bedroom, with my limited budget for such. I'm going to submit this mess to SCS and see if I can win a fabulous organizer to give me the boost I need!!!!

Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge #5

Here is my interpretation of fall colors. This is a piece of Basic Grey design paper and the stripes just seem to have all the colors I think of in the fall. I punched some leaves pulling fall colors from my scrap pile. Orange is my favorite color so I decided that would be the color for my ribbon. This is one of my favorite verses from the old testament. It reminds me that everything has a purpose and a reason for existence and it is all part of God's amazing plans that get woven into our lives and makes us Children of God. Every part of His creation is unique and special to Him, as am I.

2RedBananas as Easy as 1-2-3 challenge

I had the wonderful privilege of meeting Deb Felts in Georgia over the weekend at the Kitchen Sink event that was held there. I love her Daily Dare blog and wanted to try this 2 Red Bananas challenge this week. It looked like fun! I laced my one ribbon, stamped with two stamps from the SU Seasons of joy set, and added 3 dew drops. I love this Figgy Pudding paper from Basic Grey! The cardstock colors are baja breeze, which I miss so much, and certainly celery.

FTTC #34

Today's challenge for Flourishes' Timeless Tuesday challenge was to use misting on your card. I used a water mister to try to make my colors run so it would look like a watercolor painting. It did not work quite like I expected. I really wanted the colors to bleed out, and I even used my SU markers. I also tried using white craft ink on my basket weave stamp in the background. This is the rich razzleberry cs, which is one of the new SU "in" colors as is the crushed curry which I used in the matting of the design paper. The stamps are from Flourishes' Tulip set except for the itty bitty background stamp from SU that I used for the spattering around the tulip.

MOJO Monday 105

I just love my artful elegance set from Verve so decided to use it as the background and on the circles. I used this blossom from Paper Trey for the main image and paper pieced the leaf with design paper. I used regal rose, melon mambo, riding hood red, and SU razzleberry lemonade paper. My copic markers added the color to the blossom. I used a light pink ribbon to go across the top section of the circles.

Sketch Challenge 246

I fell in love with this set the minute I saw it at last week's Flourishes' release party. I ordered it Friday night, and I had it by Monday!! Is that great customer service or what???? I used it for today's sketch challenge over on Splitcoaststampers.

This is for the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #19. I used my new wreath for each season stamp from Flourishes. I love this Indian Summer Basic Grey tablet. The papers are awesome. I colored the wreath with copic markers and the the cameo coral panel is stamped with soft suede ink using the basketweave bg stamp from Flourishes. The black gemstones don't really show up too well in this photo on the black panel.

FTTC 33

I got my new Flourish bundle today, so had to try some of these fabulous stamps out. Betty's challenge was to mix it up with textures and patterns and prints. Here's what I did when I mixed some of the Indian summer Basic Grey papers. They are just beautiful!! I added a different texture with the fence punch from Martha Stewart.

Mojo Monday 104

Going through my Christmas stamps, I found this favorite retired set from Stampin' Up. I colored it with my copics and added the Recollection pointsettia embellishment. The striped paper is from Basic Grey figgy pudding.

Crazy 4 Challenges 2

What a fun new challenge I just stumbled upon over on the Daily Dare website. It's called Crazy 4 Challenges. I think that may fit me pretty well. I love challenges. I used my new cuttlebug folder on this as well as my new copic markers and my new stamp set from Paper Trey. It's fun to have new stuff!!! I brayered over the embossed panels with blush blossom. I added pearl brads to the corners and I used my favorite color combo of blush blossom, certainly celery, mellow moss, cameo coral and white.

This is for the color throw down challenge #59 using close to cocoa, pumpkin pie, and ruby red. I pulled out an old retired leaf set from Stampin' Up and one of my favorite scripture stamps from Eureka stamps.

MOJO Monday 103

It's Mojo Monday and it's challenge 103!! I used one of my favorite Verve sets on today's challenge. I used pieces of Basic Grey from the lemonade pack. I also used a hoarded piece of soft sky from SU. It's too bad they retired that fabulous color. I never have understood why SU doesn't just expand their color line to 100 colors. What is so unique about the 48??Introduce the new "in" colors, and then just add them to the collection. Any artist loves a full palet of colors to work with, I think, but then that's just my opinion and I haven't made much money with my opinion yet!! LOL

Feel of Fall Challenge

This is a great sketch that is over on the Flourishes newsletter blog. I'm so looking forward to their new release. Now that I am leaving SU, I will have the freedom to use and share some of my favorite stamps! It is so fun to color something that is so beautifully drawn. I don't use this shade of green very often, but it went with the Basic Grey paper so well that it worked.

Stamp Simply Challenge #103

Stamping over an image with the sentiment is one of my favorite things to do. I especially like doing it with scriptures. I think they are the beautiful words of life that we need to have before us everyday. I keep all my scriptures in one basket all together so that I can quickly grab one and stamp it onto many of the cards I make. Congratulations, Charlene Merrick, for getting to be the September Guest designer for the Stamp Simply challenge and picking this as the technique to use.

Copic Colour challenge 29

I love checking out the Copic Colour challenge every week, but this week I did not have any of the colors they used but here are the closest I did have: YG95, E09, YR21. The stamp is from Penny Black. The card base is close to cocoa. The dp was a piece of plaid from my scrap box. Used white dew drops as embellishment.

Color Throwdown 58

This card was made for the color throwdown challenge this week with the colors being chocolate chip, always artichoke, and regal rose. I used two different border punches and added dew drops as well. I wove the ribbon to hold the two pieces of chocolate chip cardstock together as a card. I used always artichoke and regal rose markers to color onto the rubber stamp. This set is from Stampin' Up as is the papers and ribbons.

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday #31

This shell set from Flourishes is a great set to use for paper piecing, which is how I made a card without coloring it with markers or pencils. Love the new basket weave background.
